In this new three-part series we take a look at the biblical perspective of life and, especially, death. Part one addresses the looming reality that is death. Coming face to face with our own mortality can be disorienting. The apostle Paul wrote to his young friend and student Timothy: "I am ready to be poured out like a drink offering" and "my time is at hand." In this first presentation we use this passage from 2Timothy 4 to begin our exploration of death from a biblical perspective.
Sharing the good news of the soon return of Jesus Christ, our Lord Creator and Redeemer.

When a couple marry, the Bible says two become one. So when one partner dies, the remaining partner becomes 1/2 - not one! I lost my husband of 43 years nine years ago and '1/2' is exactly how I feel still - half of me is gone forever!

When I was in high school my boyfriend died in a car accident a year or so after James Taylor's song came out. It became my prayer. He saw me through another day then as He continues to do now.
