This response is 4 years late, but their habitat spans quite a lot of North America and the only reason why I'm responding now is because one of these accidentally hit the living room window today. I checked on it and it was disoriented, so I picked it up and moved it under a bush so it can recover while being somewhat hidden from predators. Then I used a bird-identifying website to determine what species it was and it also told me the answer to your question.
