Thanks mate glad the video helped! It's good to know I'm on the right track with these. The format is fun to do and a great way to explore ideas (and paint some cool minis). :)
I love both these models (and have them sitting in the to-paint pile) and really like your take. Lovely stuff. With Radukar, it's almost like the mini-vampires are less "in focus" than Radukar himself.
Yeah definitely. The sculpted forms on those vamps are far softer than Radukar himself and I think that was a deliberate choice by the sculptor to give that visual clue to push them to the background when painting them.
Thanks mate. Yeah that skin was definitely a process. It was a lot of back and forth in the mid tones to achieve some soft transitions of colour. There's even a little yellow in there as well but doesn't come out so well on camera. :)
Yeah mate no worries the paint list is at the start of the video but this is one of my earlier ones so doesn't have the paints names pop up as I use them. So here they are. Bare in mind that the process for this flesh is a little complex I would suggest starting with my pale flesh video on a vampire which is a great way in to this type of flesh work up. Good luck! :) ua-cam.com/video/URP_I4mgik4/v-deo.html Army Painter: Grimoire Purple Dark Sky Vallejo: Cold Grey Dead White Elfic Flesh Turquoise GW Citadel: Ionrach Skin Abaddon Black

Phenomenal work as always, and really love the discussion on color theory and using the sculpts to push that artistic license to the next level!

the work you did hear was awesome and the way you break down the theory is so dope! Thanks for the tips!

Really like the purple worked up to lighter pale grey color

Can you provide the names of the colors you used for body painting?

wow, skin looks impossible to pick up as a beginner painter, though it looks amazing!
Thanks mate! Yeah it takes some time but practice makes perfect! :)
