    Dang😖! I'm halfway through my plumber's apprenticeship and NOW you tell me that they're making pants that don't come off the back of your ass!!! That's EXACTLY why I chose this career path... Pretty soon everyone'll be making pants like that. (Maybe I can get into culinary school instead. Love those tall white hats they wear.)

    Would like to see your take on 5.11 pants. Been using them in the environmental field and think they stand up pretty well to abuse whether drilling or just checking wells.

    Funny thing is I just ordered these last week but had to send them back for a shorter length! Directly from carthartt plus a couple of winter hats which the tag said “made in the USA” forgot to check pant but I will this week when next order comes in! Meantime went to bobs store to get a pair for work! These said made in Nicaragua! Either way they were great quality can’t wait to see how they hold out at work!

    Are they true size? I normally wear 33W32L on regular jeans. Should I get one number up?

    Biggest thing stopping me from buying these is the seam they left on the knee. They left the seam from the convertible pants into the regular pants and it rubs just above the knee, very annoying. Too lazy to make a small change to make them comfortable. They fit tight around the thighs.
    Would have like some velcro at least on the cargo pockets, not to mention how short the regular pockets are.
    Made in China but still 60-80 dollars. At least the seams and stitching are well done without any loose threads but still expensive.

      Howard have you used them personally? I’m looking for work pants that aren’t hot like jeans and dry faster and flexible enough to be on your knees a lot.

    Seems that Carhartt is feeling the pressure of the duluth trading flex fire hose cargo pants. these seem to be almost a direct copy of theirs. Im guessing since you are in the industry that youve seen or heard of them before, but if not they are amazing work pants. the regular duluth fire hose pants are thick, tough, and durable, comparable to the regular carhartt duck. these are just like the duluthflex ones which are my go to pants in the summer, durable, breathable, stretch fabric, all the little pockets and additions that these have. if you havent seen them , they are definitely worth looking into.

      +nyinfamous2k2 " the heat is on!" Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack. Do you think the Duluth's pants should be reviewed?

    • @nyinfamous2k2
      @nyinfamous2k2 7 років тому +1

      I think they are worth a review. after I initially tried them. they slowly took over my pants drawer. my favorites from them go, duluth flex carpenter , then duluth fire hose 5 pocket, then duluth fire hose cargo. the fire hose cargos can get heavy and bulky, so not ideal for summber but the pocket layout and durability are top notch.

    How do the cargo pockets stay closed? It just looks like a flap you push out of the way. I'm worried that might allow my things to fall out.

      Jon Lunsford The Western is a double H roper made in USA. The wedge is a Thorogood. I have reviews for both on the channel. I would add the links but presently I'm on my phone. while I'm answering this with Comcast. why can't they play different music and change the message.

    Carhartt changed the fit on the jeans too a couple years ago so that I can't wear them anymore. I have older ones with the old fit I still wear. The new fit is loose around the waist and tight around my chubby thighs. They have gone to a trim fit leg paired with a wide waist. Weird fit! I have old and new shirts as well and the new ones are considerably thinner and cheaper. Carhartt is going the wrong direction in many ways.

    Not made in America.

      +General Nappa Your right. But to be fair we can't build a product like this State side yet. Soon, maybe ten years or so. Our soft goods manufacturing is definitely on an upswing. First we need the skilled labor force to grow then we need market to adjust. It will happen.

      I got a good go get em attitude. I wanna make my own bio-diesel. I think a lot of hard working people like American made things. Maybe I should make my own sorta work clothing line. However I think the can be hard to compete with cheap labor on a mass production scale. But I think that a business that has a consistent reputation on their products are more important.

      Pick it up from a physical store, at least. Support American retail workers before they all get laid-off.
