I watch a lot of these ferry videos STJ, Capsule etc and this is the first boat I have seen that you don't get futons and a blanket provided free of charge in Tourist class. Orange, Sunflower, TF, Hankyu etc ferries all do. Seems to me this company reduced the fare price off season and coin back the discount in other ways eg hiring out basics free everywhere else. Also, first time I've seen a beer vending machine requiring driving licence/ID, no exactly a bad thing I suppose but in a time big brother is watching you it's a bit Bah. Definitely Island life for me please l don't like busy city life even Glasgow 🏴 is too busy for me lol. Love your videos thanks for taking us along 🫰
I think it was okay to charge me for a blanket because I wanted to use 2 blankets. Yes, I've never seen a beer vending machine requiring a driver's license/ID before. If it were in 1984, I would be arrested. It is not good for foreigners because they just accept Japanese driver's license.
Why do most ferries leave at night? And not all seem to have bus drop off, so you have to walk in the dark from the last bus stop. The city at night is pretty though. And that secret beach was perfect. THere was the other later on, very pretty. Glad you survived the rough sea. Thank you for sharing your trip.
I think the reason because it's better to sleep immediately and passengers get off daytime. The ferry terminal in Tokyo is pretty close to the nearest station. So it's no problem.
