I was hoping the helmet's visor would go up & down like the Iron Man helmet and like in the Ant-Man films. I think I'll wait until it goes down to half price like the Black Panther helmet and Infinity Gauntlet.

I got mine in the other day and wanted to see if other people are having the same issue with the back plate not closing. And it looks like it's not just mine! Good to know.

I got mine a few days ago myself, and also noticed the back hatch of mine will not stay closed.
Like you said, I wish it had magnets attached to the hatch to hold it in place.
Oh thats somewhat good to hear that I'm not alone with that back latch issue.

For the back hinge part, maybe add some metallic hinge clasps? Maybe Velcro buckles? That way you retain the adjustment for different sized heads, in case someone wants to try it on 😉
That box flip in the beginning was slick
I literally ran into all the problems you did. Back flap was very loose, antennae almost impossible to snap in, & the connection to the LED's wasn't secure or efficient. Side notes: I wish it would flap up and down, I wish it had a voice changer, the battery placement was pretty genius, fix the loose back flap, and add some voice chips or modules or voice changer and I'll say it would be worth $100 but I'll be honest it was a bit disappointing so I think I give it a 7.
Good thing I got mine already. This baby is going into the collection. A few thoughts though. Disappointed the helmet doesn't go up and down like the movies and the back fails at life to stay closed, it's just a little too loose.
Just got mine. It looks awesome. Definitely an improvement over spending 200 hours 3d printing one and another 100 hours sanding the sucker. I wist there was something a bit more interactive with it. The light effects are nice but underwhelming. Used to some sounds of something to hold attention.
Oh and I thought the Hasbro Iron Man helmet is based on the Mark VI, from IM2 and Avengers 1?

Hey i have that helmet too and wanted to let you know that theres nothing wrong with the back it's supposed to be like that . Its a floating hinged plate

0:42 even Hasbro show the helmet with the back flapping around. That's a shitty design and for that, I won't be adding it to my collection.
It will be an easy fix. Still better than these 3d printed guess works floating about. Ive painted,battle damaged and black washed my iron man and starlord masks. Look a million times better now. Look like props rather than toy helmets. Only one i left was my black panther killerbody marvel licensed mask. Looks spot on as is. Only thind i did was chrome out the eyes to look more like the film.
Even blackwashed the gauntlet and scratched it etc to make it look like metal.
Cannot wait to get my hands on this....
Unfortunately for the price, it looks pretty cheap. I avoid these helmets from Hasbro, especially when I purchased (and returned) their much-awaited Stormtrooper helmet. Big disappointment.
@@EyeSurpri for the price they look cheap? Have you seen how much people charge for replicas online and what they look like? All out of shape, not uniform etc. They LOOK homemade. Difference with these is they are manufactured to much better standards. The finish will never be great most of the time is spent on the actual product. With a bit of paint and elbow great you have the best possible base to start from with these. They are worth every penny imo.

@@NickthaGeek Have you seen the Stormtrooper helmet they released (last year was it?). Trust me, I was excited for it, but when I got it in-hand, it was a Luke exclaimed "a piece of junk." Adjusting the helmet and all the instructions of putting the pieces together (all that extra work) for the price point just didn't and still doesn't make sense. But the worst of it all was that the "electronic voice" sounded NOTHING like we've heard in the OTC Star Wars movies. I agree that for the price point it may not be bad (yes, those "authentic" items are priced way overboard and out of reach), but when you pay for something around that price point, it's not out of line to expect all the features to work. I'd save the money and wait for it to go on clearance (the Iron Man, Darth Vader helmets have really dropped in price making it definitely worth it). :)

Hi Jessy. This is the first time I vist your videps and I really liked your review, and I had to tell that I've encontered the same issues the adjustment and the backpate that doesn't close. It could be better for sure but I'm happy to have my new helmet for Christmas.

How about taking out a few of the screws around and on the floating plate and then using them to screw on some heavy elastic webbing straps. They would allow the hinge to open but then pull shut.
Mine came broke, the back part that opens so you can adjust it wasn't on, I've been trying for a long time to get it on, but it won't.
Mine came assembled just fine but the back part was loose I thought it was broken but it just might need to be snapped back in.

When things like this don’t work it really annoys me. I was thinking of buying one of these helmets but I don’t know if I can bring myself to do it if I’m not positive that everything will work. Just think Hasbro should make sure their product is quality before charging 100 for it.
Question, how long to the lights stay on? One thing I absolutely HATED about the Star-Lord helmet was that the lights shut off after like 5 minutes. It made it really a pain for cosplay because they always shut off when someone wanted a picture lol. Do these do the same or do they stay on until I shut them off or the batteries run out?
Is this the same that they sell at best buy?

Great review! Got on coming tomorrow. As far as the back plate goes, I expected it would do that because there is a photo of the guy modeling it that has the back not connecting.

It’s amazing the only thing it kind of bothering me is the back of the helmet
I like the Infinity gauntlet, and might buy it, but I would never pay $100 for a helmet that just lights up.
In my opinion, $100 for a plastic helmet that just lights up and nothing else is really overpriced. If it had sound effects, or the faceplate lifted up, or the helmet was metal, maybe. But if it's just a glorified nightlight, I will never buy it for $100.
(And I do like ant man! Loved the movie! The plastic helmet is just not worth $100.)
Just my opinion though, so sorry if I sounded negative or anything.

Definitely too big, just like all of the Legends helmets. I get that they want them to fit most people but they don't look great when they're so enlarged.

Gonna need to say no to the Stormbreaker idea. Easily Thor’s hammer has been the worst received legends prop. I know it would never ever happen but I would love the prototype boot Tony was working on in Iron Man.
Oh and needless to say I placed my order as soon as you dropped the news. Antman is my favorite.

Actually the helmet is just from ant-man and the wasp and endgame. On top of that the star lord helmet is meant to look worn as he has been using it for years whereas the ant man suit is new
If you color the helmet or add magnets would love if you made a video of how it comes out.

antman is my favorite hero because its just so useful to be shrunken and be able to punch someone like a truck some guy is just eating a donut you get on his shirt and or donut and upper cut him and he will be wtf if he gets up and sneaking around and being steathy easy
