Outdoor Speaker Install | Costco Klipsch KHO-7 Outdoor Weatherproof Speakers

Installing the Klipsch KHO-7 Outdoor Weatherproof Speakers from Costco. Wanted to set an awesome ambience this summer while working in the backyard and these speakers couldn't have come at a better time. I paired them with my custom speaker cables that I made and you can see that video here: and my original Sonos amps to isolate the backyard as a separate zone. Took an afternoon to install and wire everything up.

Should have drilled a hole through the bracket , ran the wire through the hole and mounted the bracket directly over the holes in the wall. Just a an idea for anyone doing this.

what would happen if you mounted them on their side?
I bought a pair of these months ago but am going to get them put up on the deck this weekend.
it looks like sideways would be easier to direct the sound down toward the listener.
just a thought.

FWIW they work fine in this orientation, but the received wisdom is that tweeters should be mounted to the outside in a horizontal arrangement to improve stereo spread.

All the Klipsch outdoor speakers have a 90° range output on all sides. Meaning, they will sound exactly the same in ANY orientation. Straight from Klipsch. 😎🎸
