  • We love this set-up SO much! Here's a short video on some of the recording and practice modes on the Yamaha EAD10 module. We are using a Tama Club Jam Mini with Remo silentstroke heads and Zildjian L80 Low volume cymbals. Huge sounds, perfect for home practice without disturbing your neighbours!

The feature is great for soundcheck too. Drummer can walk around as well checking playback sound.

How did you get the samples

Great example, but I've yet to hear this unit do anything with low-vol cymbals which would match the quality of the drum samples triggered by the unit or a VST. I could rig mine up to my A to E kit conversion, then USB to PC and link to Superior Drummer in the DAW, but there would still be a problem with acoustic cymbal quality, unless I set up real cymbals which them pesky neighbours & wife/kids won't like! What's needed is a half-way house between lo-vol and real cymbals which could give the EAD10's condensers a stereo mix into the DAW, which could at least have some chance of being fattened up with EQ & compression. Until that happens, I'm stuck with a TD-20 & Roland cymbals into Superior D. But still, hats off for the inspiring demo.
