I love McCoy Tyner's genius use of syncopation, he makes even the most straight ahead jazz chart sound floaty and ethereal at times while still being able to snap right back into the pocket
@RHTranscriptions I know what an anacrusis is lol. I'm asking why you have notated it by going over the pulse/beats of the bar. You can still write an anacrusis and notate it like in bar 3. It's not just bar 3...every other bar in the transcription is the same (correct). It's just the first bars rhythm that's "incorrect"

Those first 8 bars of his solo are so good.
Thanks Rowan...great transcription.....I love the way he voices the last 8 bars of the head.
Superb transcription. Beautiful bounce and lightness to McCoy’s rh lines.
1:42 I keep hearing this lick in many jazz solos
More licc than the licc
Was listening to this this morning! Great job!
Guess I can review the voicing I was using on the guitar for this one :) thanks for the update !

Why is the first bar notated this way? The corre t way is in the 3rd bar?
It's an anacrusis

Oh I see. Just a mistake then.
