nice job, just found your channel,
We use to stack the bales with Knots down and out so the rain would run off.
Back in Ireland 🇮🇪 in the good old days
Great video Ben nice looking hay bales
Baiiling Sqaure bails so different from the years ago. We has a throw bailer and the flat bed wagons where someone stood on the wagon while bailing.
Those are some good lookin hay nugs!
I just wanted to tell you. I love all your videos.
Thank you so much!
ive got the same setup in my rebaler works great
I remember bailing hay and straw as a teenager. Nothing like your operation now. Took a crew of around 6 guys to do the complete operation. Three in the field bailing and three in the barn stacking. You could do with only three if you had enough hay wagons but that just meant those who stacked on the rack ended up stacking the barn too. It was a great way of getting an honest days work out of a city slicker 😂😂😂😂😂. Best shower ever was after a day of bailing hay
Now that's a true statement!
Born & raised in Iowa and never saw hay bailed . . . until today! Thanks Ben!
Diana Jean you’re welcome.
Put up about 500 prairie bales this evening. Got a couple of pretty good boys this year to help, it's getting real hard to find boys that will do it
Great video. Great job. Everything is is looking great at y’all’s place. Keep up the great work and God bless.
Aaron Skinner thank you!
Just as you were explaining the hillside thing, BBBBAAAAMMMM !!!!!!!!
I’m digging the blue jean capris lmao
Hauling hay as a kid and teenager was the way I got Go fund me Lol!!😂 I was the oldest so I got stuck on the wagon stacking every time. Thanks for you videos Ben. Can’t beat them John Deere balers.
That is awesome!
Looks nice, smells pretty good too I bet.
Chris Wells smells awesome.
An "accumulator" that's what i was. The guy that walks behind the hay wagon. Gawd those things could get heavy...
William best that’s fiddy!
Man, I miss hauling hay...said no one ever! Imagine doing that in the 1970's & 80's like I did.
3 cents per bale. What the hell was I thinking?
I did it for a friend a few time, hardest I ever worked.
If that is an example of your "sewing machine", that explains a lot about your apparel. Molly can only do so much given what she has to work with.😂
BILL UPSTATE NY lol
We used a JD336 with a kicker. If we put up 1,000 bales a day it was a good one. All mowed in the barns by hand.
Jim Viney letting the bales fly!
Those Square bales look a tad rectangular to me LOL
Love the farm vids my dad works on a experiment farm he works on the cotton side
FR Gaming that’s neat!
Love watching the process but I,hated hauling those little ba*****s!
I wonder if you could put a flow control valve on the return side of the dump valve to make it come down slower to give the bales a bit more time to slide off. If not, it still beats the old method, lol.
Mitchell Smith I think it’s supposed to work like that!
I dont remember square bales being that easy.
Ben-
Enjoyed the video!
Question, Towards the end of the video as you were loading hay in the shed, I noticed you have the hay on wooden pallets. Is there a reason for that?
Also, looks like your hay storage building is fairly tall. Are you able to stack hay all the way to under the roof or can you only go as high as the skid loader reach?
Thanks and keep up the great job!
The pallets keep mice out of them somewhat and let air flow under the bales so they don't take up moisture. I stack the bales as high as the loader lets me.
I love this season of hay! I just stared my own business in central Iowa as a 12 year old. I am looking for a efficient bale stacker. One like you have or like a new Holland 1012 bale stacker. Looking for answers.
Sounds like you are the efficient bale stacker right now. Good luck with your business and stay safe!
Good luck
What can I answer?
iowANFarmer what is your opinion on the bale accumulator and do you have a website where I could look at one? Sorry for the confusion.
If I didn’t have to drive so far, I would take about 200 bales of orchard grass...NC
hahhaha!
Whistling, be careful, Molly might get jealous. You need to whistle at her also.
Kevin Gordon I whistle at her all the time.
A great video . I have seen other accumulators, I like yours the best that I have seen. Not these ones that stick away up in the air and dangerous on hills. Bet, heck of a lot cheaper too.
Wayne Rogers those are crazy looking
Haaaay! Where's Andrew? Last year videos were Andrew and you during Hay season. Dad needs to video fr a A/C cab of a pu.....lol
You need Autosteer so when your checking out that sexy seed plot you don’t go off the windrow
Michael Stark I can make that happen.
Awesome looking hay and equipment! What brand is the grapples and accumulator
Hingtgen Farms holster
Baled a few with the 14T the other day.
chris kofahl how did it go?
It went well after sitting in the shed for about 15 years, broke a couple of shear pins and re-timed twice . Did 80 bales as a tune up. Pulled it with my L3901 Kubota HST. Started baling the first time with a IH 45T in 1974.
Gee,it’s true want they say. “Make hay while the Sun 🌞 shines. Looks like you have a good plan for making good hay. Hope the hay prices stay up for you. Be nice if some crop a farmer grows made some money 💰!!! Thanks.
Thanks 👍
I have 5 ez trail hay baskets, like I said low hay production here in western pa. 30% less. Second cut? 30 per acre 👎
First cut was 95 per acre first cut.
Sell hay by weight, first cut $5-$6. Second $8-$9. 👍
Let them go buy all the equipment.
🇺🇸
Ps it was 70-80 c a bale , That's what the contractor would charge us per bale
What makes your accumulator work? Do you have hydraulics coming off your tractor?
Bob Kyllo I’ll explain it in another hat video but yes!
@@iowANFarmer awesome thank you
Hay! I sent you an email about hay.
Did I respond to you?
Not much worse then a premature dump!
Erik Moffett lol
Why are they called square bales when they are rectangles?
edwinf9999 question for a smarter man!
Why bother to comment, you just don't bother to respond
BILL UPSTATE NY depends on how busy I am!
Small squares are not fun
