He is so precise. Like he has done it. A million times. And he’s only going half speed. Just so beautiful. You really don’t want to be on the other side of this.

The biggest difference between the Aiki of Budo and the Aiki of Ueshiba Soke seems to be that there is an exhibitionist non combat lesser show of effort. Perhaps the commercial or civilian element gave way to such things. In aikijujutsu one would be using 2 hands instead of showing off that only one can be used. Instead of waiting for gravity to take effect or the technique to work the same on all bodies we take initiative in unbalancing and trapping as well as strikes to move disable and stun. This is combat when necessary to use. Aiki doesn't mean love exactly but that was his definition. If you love your enemies and not protect them you have a strange love. Therefore if someone attacks you survive first and stop them second. Do not assume a position of superior tactics or abilities. People say things don't work and blah blah... I'm saying the modis operandi is wrong to be too nice or peaceful when truly threatened. It's very innocent and endearing but in warfare or combat and your children under the knife one cannot believe that innocence is a true quality. We must assume we are ignorant of something at all times and aware of the lesson therein.

And Uke is just as precise. You need to be. That’s when I knew. Aikido works. I’m 6’4. And my first interaction. After 20 years of martial arts. Told me this stuff. Is very dangerous. And after 20 years. Even more dangerous. Here is what Aikido taught me. I can defend myself without you touching me. Or me touching you. Just don’t be there. When the attack comes.

If it keeps coming and you are sticking to the artificial belief in the no touch bubble? 🙄 You cannot assume that your charm will win out against those who would attempt to harm others.

Очень вальяжная техника... На куби шимэ даже не считает нужным опустить подбородок и сместить корпус вперед. Дистанции нет от слова совсем... Так себе демонстрация...

@andreyvalter5812, I wouldn't recommend moving the body forward in kubishime. That would just tighten the neck hold. I wonder if you understand how this technique works. Have you tried it?

@@StefanStenudd Thanks for the reply. I respect your technique, but Aikido has many variations. Every master is like an artist. Another performance is closer to me, which I wrote about in my comment. It is more amplitude with the stretching of the uke forward. I will be glad to see new videos on your channel. Good luck!

@@user-ih4kr5hy2n there are indeed many different approaches, each with its own benefits. We choose the one we prefer.
