I discovered Her's during the worst point of my life, fresh off a break up, working my soul away at an Amazon warehouse, and felt so lost in life. One night, when I got off, I did my usually drive home listening to Pandora and You Don't Know This Guy started playing. It was hypnotic and I pulled over on the side of a freeway to listen to it again, on the verge of tears because it was the first time I felt heard. The next day I was listening to Speed Racer on the drive to work and Harvey on the way home. Each one of their songs became engraved in my memories as I eagerly shared it with friends, for the first time in a long time, I was inspired to write and create. Sadly, a few months later I got the news that they died in that car crash. Spending a few days alone in my room listening to their album when I discover their cover for Loving You, that was the last time I felt that sensation of listening to them for the first time. Now I sit here with a tattoo that said "What Once Was" writing a story with a character name Harvey and with a girlfriend who fell in love with Her's when I showed it to her. Its a weird feeling but they really turned my life around and if I have kids I will share their music with them, i'm forever Her's
I was in the same shoes as you. There may be a song from them you haven’t heard. It’s called Some Nights. You should be able to find it here on UA-cam :)
What Once Was is my absolute favourite - reminds me of Crowded House!
Very, very sad to lose them. Always shed a tear now listening to that album. RIP lads xxx
Every once in a while i cry remembering that they’re not here anymore.
They were wonderful people with so much more left to give
Thank you so much for making a video about them Dev.
Songs about Her's is one of my favorite all-time projects and it really got me through a tough break-up and helped me figure out more about who I was as a person.
Losing them felt like losing a close friend. Like losing a part of myself.
Thank you for spreading their art and honoring them this way. You are easily one of my favorite music content creators.
Great video about a great group! Truly saddening that these geniuses passes away so soon.

I was at the last gig they played before they passed, rip sweet boys
They’re a big inspiration for me, their song writing is amazing and I feel my singing style and vocal range is similar to Stephen Fitzpatrick’s. I really want to start creating music myself and am trying to learn from Hers
Nicest people ever, they were angels
really well edited video! i miss her's so much. they were unlike anyone else, they loved each other so much! their music means so much to me. you did a really good job showing all of their strengths as musicians! thank you for the great video!
it's hard for me to find a band that i love every song, that made me feel personally attached to the songs. just when i discovered her's few weeks ago i learnt that they died in a car crash alongside trevor. it's a tragedy, they had so much to give and so much to experience. i really hope i can attend to their concert in another life. thank you her's for the great music and experience, and thank you for making this vid, they deserve to be remembered as the great artists and great people they were.
i miss these guys :(
They have such a good vibe. When you watch them you can tell they are humble, happy people.
I hope they’d do a reunion concert one day
They passed away in a car crash in March of 2019. No reunion unfortunately
@@liamsvanoe4557 oh my God!! I’ve been listening to them for so long now so frequently and I’m just finding about this now :( fuck I sound so insensitive
Audun is hands down one of the best bassists I’ve ever heard, I even like him better than sting and I’m a huge fan of the police (her’s is still my #1 band though)
My god now I’m depressed
I only discovered them a couple of weeks ago and i'm literally listening to their albums on a loop. Damn what a loss...
Omg that ending came out of nowhere. Was not expecting that.
