Today, on our trip to Thrace, we continue to visit Turkey's Greek border. We are in the Enez district on the Aegean Coast of Edirne.

Enez is a district of Turkey's Edirne province, located on the Aegean Sea coast.
There is the Aegean Sea in the west of the district, the Saros Gulf of the Aegean Sea in the south, Keşan in the east, and the İpsala and Meriç Rivers in the north and the Greek border.
The population of the district is 10,500 according to 2022 data, and its surface area is 473 km2.
Çandır (Çan Hıdır) Mountain is the only mountain in the district and its height is only 400 meters. The eastern half of the district is on the Pelin Plateau, which lies to the north of Saros Bay. The altitude of this plateau varies between 50 and 150 meters. The wide valley floor in the east is called Enez and Yenice Plain. The only river in the district is Meriç and this river forms the Turkey-Greece border.
The Mediterranean climate is dominant in Enez. The winds are mostly from the north and are of moderate intensity. Summers are hot and rather dry, winters are cool and rainy. The district is semi-humid in terms of precipitation. The natural vegetation is dry forest. The cover of the slopes facing the sea is maquis. It consists of scrub, dwarf trees and xeric grasses. Steppe was formed in places where forests were removed. The steppe is used as a field and pasture. It occupies one third of the county.
The name Enez comes from the ancient name of the settlement in the region, Ainos. Formerly known as Ayesintoz Vepolti Urya, it is still known as Inoz, which means "liked". The old name of the district is mentioned as Enos in the records of 1891.

Kale ve manzarasına bayıkdım. Enez zaten küçük bir yer. Mevsim sonbahardı yoksa deniz kıyısından da çıkartmazlardı beni. Bir dahakine yaz mevsiminde geleceğim. O zaman kaleden aurılabilriim.

Merhaba, Enez'de doğmuş biri olarak videoyu ilk gördüğümde sevindim. Fakat izleyince sevincim kısa sürdü. Enez sadece kaleden ve kalenin içindeki camiden ibaret değildir. Has Yunus bey türbesi, Tek kale, Kral kızı , Liman, Gala ve diğer göllerinden hiçbir görüntü ve bilgi vermemişsiniz. Ayrıca balık sadece yılanbalığı ve lüfer demekte değildir. Levrek, karagöz, mırmır ve onlarca balık çeşidini bulma şansınız vardır. Araştırmadan, geçerken uğrayıp şöyle bir gezeyim tarzında bir video olmuş kısacası.

Pahalı bir yer değil ama Ege Akdeniz gibi uzun sezonu olmadığı için kiralar fazla
