I lived and 'cycled' that area for many year's. Even dated a girl who lived in Cropredy. It was nice learning some History while remembering the area. I was in my 30's then and 75 now & live in Wales & cycle this area, now. Load's of Castle's to visit. LOL
Not a forgotten battle. We had friends in Banbury and went to a reenacment there many years ago and I have run from Worcester to Powick Bridge. I think the best quote about the tragedy of the Civil War id 'And the brothers of the maids we love make ready to lay low their sister's sweethearts as we move against our dearest foe'. from Rudyard Kipling's Edgehill Fight.
