  • JICA-DSP is implemented by JICA as part of the official development assistance (ODA) by the government of Japan. It is a program for international scholars accepted as participants of JICA’s Human Resource Development Project (hereinafter referred to as “JICA scholars”), who are enrolled in degree programs at Japanese universities.
    In 1859, Japan's plant trade launched from Yokohama, with its open port to the world.
    The purpose of this video is to introduce JICA Scholars the internationalization and modernization of Japanese horticulture set in Yokohama, through the history of the development of Horticulture.
