Most of the time it’s usually a dirty water level probe , or a water level harness . 90% of the time is the harness . Quick tip . Remove the water level from the machine Put your meter in continuity, you must have continuity across the WLP . If you don’t it’s faulty or it’s dirty . If you do have continuity across all three pins. Reconnect the water level probe . Disconnect the water level harness from the board, and check for continuity all the way from the three pins on the WLP to the pins on harness , you must have continuity. This method will help you pin point the problem. 90% of the time it’s the harness that fails . Harness from the probe to the board . Techs pulling the WLP too hard to clean the machine or troubleshoot, will weaken the connection where the probe and harness hook up . Manitowoc has made too many changes .Good Video Anthony good to see you back.
Hey Felipe. I hear ya. Usually I would go through the full trouble shoot as you posted. On that style WLP I have cleaned them. It works good. Then customer calls back saying it’s over flowing with water again. A while back I called tech support on the issue. They told me I need to upgrade to the newer probe. The harness connection is faulty. They told me they had a lot of issues. They changed the connection type. Also this machine was disassembled and cleaned 2 weeks ago. So I knew the probe was cleaned.
@@20antman Yeahh they switched to a different style WLP because of the connector issues . I’ve also seen some units overfilling due to a stuck open water inlet valve . Good stuff Anthony!
Hey Felipe, looks like you know plenty on ice makers , do you mind people asking you about how to troubleshoot? If you don’t mind I’ll ask you if you don’t like I won’t, let me know .
Wow! You just helped me solve my problem. It’s Friday night came to work in my fried chicken store and found out my lovely manitowoc is not making ice…..man! I don’t know to show my appreciation
I have an older QD602, the water level probe is only a single wire. It currently senses that the water level is high even when there is no water in it. If I manually unplug the sensor, then plug it in when the water level is where it is suppose to be, the ice machine works fine. How would I test to see if it’s a possible bad circuit board?
Why my manitowoc model # ID0322A-161 When I start the cycle to start it won’t dump the water , But the pump it’s on , on the other hand when I do the cleaning procedure dump the water normally. My question is cause on the sequence of a ice machine the first thing it’ll be dump the water remaining in the reservoir, if I’m incorrect I’m sorry. Thanks for any advice.
if you have this happen, shut it off, if it still is overflowing still it is the water inlet valve, if it stops clean your water level probe then do that check to see if it is your board.
What if I can't even get the water up to the probe? Says "not sensing" and I can't get the machine to make ice....just keeps flowing water and turns of the fan after trying a cycle
Maybe your loosing water. You could have a bad dump valve, I loosing water someplace. Does the display say the water valve is on? Do you actually see water coming out?

Problems at that connector led to redesign so that all new probes come with harness all the back to the board.

Help please, no voltaje in solenoide valv of water in

Why is my manitowoc only forming ice on bottom right side of evaporator
Probably your low on refrigerant or possibly a restriction in the refrigerant flow
