I saw 'nava' in fb and really want to know how to make it. Looking for the recipe and found it here. Thank you for showing the whole process ❤ Love from Indonesia
Thank you so much for this wonderful easy recipe only problem I had because yes I didn't listen properly to u I had to use hot boiling water but once I realized that after my first batch not turning out all the rest did once I listened properly so thank u
Thanks so much for a clear & straightforward demo! I love chè, and we always have tapioca starch available as a pantry staple, so I’ll make this in the near future! 👍
There’s a quick version in my other video. I use palm sugar and cook them in boiling water to make the syrup. Would you like to see regular granulated sugar? ua-cam.com/video/mRoEMqjtSYI/v-deo.html
Thank you for the recipe. Btw, how do you keep the strips from clumping after rinsing and refrigerating? I always have to undo the clumps, and that ruins the strips 😢
These look delicious. Is it possible to dry these and use them later? We're looking to make tapioca strips from some backyard tapioca, but we're not sure how to approach it.
Yes it’s pretty simple to make, but time consuming if making a lot. I purchase the Thai food coloring from a local Hmong store. They are very hard to find and sell out quick. I’ve seen random people sell on Facebook, try searching on Facebook if your interest. Sorry I can’t share screen shot of whom might be selling, but you can message me on Facebook for info.
Hi, Im not sure of the exact brand. This is a Thai powdered food coloring. You can find it on eBay or some local Hmong/Laos stores. I am not sure where in LA, maybe in Thai Town you can ask. Here’s the link on eBay. www.ebay.com/itm/263220574266?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=TpLBo75iSZK&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=&var=562214964693&widget_ver=artemis&media=SMS
My husband and I tried making this. When we mixed the ingredients together it was so sticky. Idk how you did it. We followed your exact recipe. It was sticky so hard to cut bc it would get stuck together.

Awesome
I'm going to try to add jolly rancher drink powder to the flour to flavor the starch.
That sounds yummy.
Did that work out with the added drink powder?
I love your videos and your recipes are easy to follow.
Thank you
Looking good
Can you make a video showing how to make your sugar syrup for the navam. Thanks. I truly enjoy your videos.

Do you store yours with water?

Thanks for your recipes, will the cook one get soggy if i leave it in the water over nite or will the texture stay the same?
Sorry for late response, the cook ones will not get soggy if soak in water over night but they will be a bit softer in texture.
I love add rice flour to my tapioca flour like how u make khao piaj then add sprinkle of starch me me
สวัสดีครับมาชมหวานแชบหอม+1❤❤❤
How can I store these if I make it the night before? Last time I put it in water and it clump up and unable to separate
Hi, make sure there cook strips are submerged is extra water.
These look delicious. Is it possible to dry these and use them later? We're looking to make tapioca strips from some backyard tapioca, but we're not sure how to approach it.
Hi, I am unsure about drying. Some stores do sell dry ones similar to this. You can freeze them, I do this all the time with my extras.
Can we use liquid food coloring instead?
Hi, yes you can.
How does your strips not bleed when cooking? Usually i have to boil by color so it doesn't bleed.
They do bleed while cooking, but they still keep their individual colors without blending into each other.
Do you know how to make BOBAS TEA PEARLS? 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I have not tried yet.
Dear Zoey - I heard food colors are not healthy, is there another way to color this?. Please advise thank you 🙏
Hi, sorry for late response. You can use natural colors like purple cabbage broth or pandan leaves etc.
Thank you for sharing, wow didn’t think it’s that easy, I will definitely give it a try. Where did you get the Thai powder food coloring from?

If I make these several days beforehand and refrigerate or freeze them, will they still be good to boil and use on the day of an event?
Yes they will work fine.

Hmm, not sure why yours is not clear.
@@ZoeyandVFam it is good now. I just didn’t boil it long enough.
Can you make these ahead and freeze them?
Hi, yes you can.
Should I boil it until it turns clear ?
Hi, yes boil until most turn clear. Some strips may not be completely clear but when soak in cold water it should turn clear.

Hi, sorry for late response. Sorry it didn’t turn out for you, I’m not sure why. If too sticky you can add a little more tapioca starch.
where do you get the powdered color?
Hi, I purchase from a local Asian store. I think sometimes it’s available on Amazon. You can substitute with any food coloring.
😍😍
