this is how they express their fondness to mingyu.. they tease him like this but you can see how they look at him with adoration in their eyes. Mingyu is that one member who's close to all 12 of them, and I'm sure that they love him a lot.
I'm so shocked at everyone saying they feel bad for Mingyu? You have to understand that seventeen's group dynamics are very fun loving. Mingyu is very friendly, easy going and excitable. All the members are clearly very fond of him and know that he doesn't take jokes too personally which is why they tease him jokingly - it's fun to mess around with him. Mingyu will also fight back because he can get sassy (insomnia zero episode). They also tease Seungkwan, Dk, Hoshi and Dino all the time too. Some of y'all seem to forget that Mingyu is a 6 foot 3 man who has grown up with these boys for nearly a decade of his life, they certainly have a sibling bond and if he wasn't happy with how he's treated I'm sure he would inform the members. Stop making it seem like Mingyu is some helpless puppy when he definitely isn't. The members truly adore him and he loves them right back.

I get teased a lot, like a lot cause I am the youngest in my family but inspite that I know that they love me. So I would say that we should stop assuming what he is feeling or his relationship with the 12 members(which seems really close.) And scoups himself said that Mingyu is the member who is really close with all 12 of them that's why all of them love to tease him.

he's not being bullied at all though, there's nothing to feel bad about. Mingyu has a really loveable and easygoing personality, he gets along with everyone because he's just so friendly, the members love his excitable personality which is why they tease him so much - he doesn't mind it at all. Same can be said for DK, Seungkwan, Hoshi and Dino who are very friendly and don't take the jokes too personally so the members always tease them too. You can tell that they mean no malice at all - Mingyu would not have stuck around for 5 years if he really felt like he was being bullied by the group.

This is how friends are, especially close friends lmao. My highschool and college friend group behaved this way as well. We tease and make fun of each other to the point that it may look like "bullying" for others but to us, it's nothing new and that's just how we show our affection to one another. Of course, it's not always perfect; sometimes we go too far and depending on how good the communication is, we could all learn from our mistakes and move on.
None of us know Seventeen on a personal level, only they know what's going on behind the scenes. And if they have a really good relationship, as they tell us, then I'm pretty sure it's all good fun and if anything does go too far, they'd talk about it off-camera. Again, we don't know them off-camera so the most we can do is just assume.
