I have heat n bond and it does the same thing. It's more runny but I don't have to use much product. I'm glad the smell doesn't stay or set in the fabric. Ewww. Lol. I didn't think to go diagonal so that was a great thing to learn. Thanks.
Thanks for the tutorial, i love it! I will definitely give it another go since it didn't work out for me the one time i tried it. I do have one question, was your iron set on cotton without steam? Thanks again!
My iron is a steam pressure iron. So it doesn’t have temps.. I just turned off the steam … but I’m the past I used cotton with no steam and just made sure I kept the iron moving.. if worried can also set to silk
I have birthed 2 with it and pretty good! I think as long as you leave a large enough turning hole that it doesn’t wrinkle too bad you are ok! I always leave a large turning hole in the bottom of the lining and close it through an opening in a zipper pocket. Just makes everything wrinkle less :)
No steam and wool temp. I don’t think it would work with a heat press. My iron is a gravity fed iron so I didn’t have a set temp as there is only one temp… just make sure no steam!! Instructions say just a warm temp with no vapor
I have added my 3 coats of liquid vinyl, so I’m ready to iron it, but I forgot to add my fusible fleece, can I add it to the back now and iron the top? Will it fuse? Or do I just need to leave the fleece off? I did add the woven interfacing to the 100% cotton. Thanks!
Can I odicoat a medium canvas on a birthing type bag? I’m concerned about the crushing aspect during birthing. I thought only one coat of odicoat may prevent any birthing wrinkles.
I do have a jar of it but I did not interface the backing until afterwards. Now I know I can do that first. Thank you for the tutorial.
Hope it helped!
What a great video.very thorough and so practical. Thank you very much. I also love the fabric you use, can you tell me the name. Thanks.
Ty! I do not remember the name of the fabric unfortunately
Thank you dear friend!! This is going to really help A LOT!!! 💜💜💜
Oh Brandy! This is great!
Ty :)!
Thanks, Brandy. This is very helpful. Your demonstration is clear and concise. I'm off to purchase some odicoat.
Hope you like it! I like it for protecting those light colors! Helps keep them clean
Interesting video, I must give it a try. Thanks
So very helpful. I’m following your instructions right now. Thanks for sharing.
Glad I can help!
Hi Brandy, Thank you so much for sharing.. this is a game changer for me-I have just ordered some and I can’t wait to play🤗 love your channel 💖👌🏻
Aww ty!
Ironing the odicoat!? Why haven't I done this?! Thanks for the video I will give it another try with this technique. It looks very finished.
Yes! It’s the final step and is what seals it
Thanks Im getting mine in tomorrow!
Yay!
Thank you very much! I bought the gel and tried it yesterday! The result is so wonderful!
It’s a handy tool! Ty for watching!

You are welcome. I’m odor sensitive. It is just a very slight smell when wet
Good tips - I have used it before but did not iron it at the end. Now I will as I like your results1
Ohhh yes just iron it to set it!!! Glad it was helpful
Thank you! I'm excited to do this!
Yay
Can it wait to try this
Great video, thanks!
Glad you liked it!
I don't have the card that came with odicoat. Can I use a firm cardboard card, or old credit card to put the odicoat on? Thanx!
If you have an old credit card or bank card that would work :) I think cardboard may absorb it
Thanks for the tutorial, i love it! I will definitely give it another go since it didn't work out for me the one time i tried it. I do have one question, was your iron set on cotton without steam? Thanks again!

Thanks Brandy!
I'm listening with ear buds and hearing the dog bark in your background was my neighbor's dog until you mentioned your fur baby. 🐾
Oh that’s my coonhound coco. She always makes an appearance at some point :)
Good morning, can i use this product in both sides of the fabric? Thank you in advance.
It does saturate all the way thru. I have never applied to the opposite side but you can definitely try!
Thanks for your tutorials. How does it stand up when birthing a bag?
Thanks. 😁

If you look at my Dandelion Meet the Bags video. That bag I used odicoat on and it turned great
Thanks!
What temp on the press?? Also, can I use a heat press instead of an iron?
No steam and wool temp. I don’t think it would work with a heat press. My iron is a gravity fed iron so I didn’t have a set temp as there is only one temp… just make sure no steam!! Instructions say just a warm temp with no vapor
Buongiorno. Può essere usato anche su un foglio di carta?
I believe it is only meant for fabric
Great tutorial. Thank you. After you've used the Odi Coat, can you iron the fabric or is it more like vinyl?
More like a vinyl.
Thanks!
You can try.. I’m not sure if it will fuse! As you need steam to fuse the fleece and you can’t steam the odicoat. But worth a shot!
@@brandyjackson-beansbags Thank you, sorry for bothering you on a Sunday!
Never a bother! I love to help if I can!!
I used my cricut easy press to adhere the fusible fleece and it worked! Thanks again! Have a wonderful day!
Amazing!!!
Hi Brandy! Is this easier to sew through than actual vinyl?
Oh yes it is much thinner. Completely domestic friendly. I actually learned how to do this from Sara Lawsons channel
It gives it more like a vinyl feel finish. It doesn’t turn it into vinyl if that makes sense..
Can I odicoat a medium canvas on a birthing type bag? I’m concerned about the crushing aspect during birthing. I thought only one coat of odicoat may prevent any birthing wrinkles.
I have never tried that so I’m not sure. Only one coat of odicoat will not make it fully resistant unfortunately . Need at least 2
I would say to get out any wrinkles use parchment paper or Teflon sheet and press with no steam.
You are very helpful. I appreciate it very much!!!
i have been wanting to try this but i was worried it might leave a residue on my needle. my machine can’t handle sticky at all. xx
I used to use it on my
2010q . Sews thru fine! Even try a scrap piece and give it a go!
No residue on mine. It’s completely dry as long as you let it set for that full time.
great thanks xx
Does the coating eventually peel or crack with use?
@melissavalenzuela293 I have never experienced this. And my clients have never had an issue :)
