    Absolutely beautiful, you have an unique style that's vibrant and (dare I say it) cartoony but also lively and realistic.

    I recommend drawing some of the old buildings in Berlin Rixdorf (the Bohemian Village, or Rixdorf, was a small community of Protestant refugees from Bohemia founded near Berlin in 1737). You will find many old buildings here and a blacksmith. But maybe you've already been there.

    This is so stunning! I've been an artist for many years, but have always struggled with keeping a sketchbook. I'm really trying to make it a daily habit and this video has inspired me to grab my sketchbook and just paint!

    I am so happy to see a new video from you and excited about the upcoming tutorial. To get the crisp colours you let each layer dry. How long does it take to do a typical page outdoors?

    • @DannyHawk
      @DannyHawk  Рік тому

      Thanks, Teresa! Usually I spend around 1.5 hours for a one-page sketch in size A5 outdoors.

    I loved all of your sketches. You have such a unique and immediately-identifiable style that's pure Danny Hawk. I'd know your work anywhere. I especially liked the second sketch - the one of the boat in the Stralau peninsula. Even though the boat didn't end up being the focal point after all, the foreground nature framing the boat is just glorious and has a wonderful alive feeling to it. Also, we get to the boat afterwards, so it still gets a chance to shine. I wouldn't change a thing. The last two panoramas at the end were also spectacular. You can tell an entire story with your sketches alone with no words needed.

    • @DannyHawk
      @DannyHawk  Рік тому

      Thanks, you're much too kind! I'm happy to hear you like the boat sketch. I think the beauty behind every urban sketch is that it tells a story in the end - even if it turns out differently than what you were initially envisioning. :)

    • @Elliria_home
      @Elliria_home Рік тому

      Yes, it seems to be at the very heart of it. The story that goes with a painting is powerful and wonderful for the artist and the viewer. Most interesting of all is just how many stories each painting can tell since the story changes from person to person.
