At the end of the phone call, when she is talking to somone in the background, you can hear her tell that person that they were from a radio station in "France".
This was after they told her twice they were from Montreal.

It was on CNN and the prank call wasn't fake at all. I live in Quebec and the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) made an interview with the Masked Avengers and they explained how they actually did to contact governor Palin. Sarah Palin later commented on the issue, saying it was funny and that she really thought it was President Sarkozy.

This IS real. You can googlelize it and will see it is. It has even made the headlines everywhere in the world through the web network before the official release of the clip could be made by its respective radio network here in Québec.

Your correction is irrelevant for it does not bear on the fact that She did say you can see Russia from Alaska. She was inferring the Diomedes island and just because you can see something does not give one experience.
Like how hard is it to say something like
"Alaska Comprises a wide and diverse range of economic and geographical regions and I read many of the major city as well as the regional papers that comprise Alaska".
She is unable to handle the easy questions.
Actually, if you take a look on a map you'll see that France and Belgium are immediate neighbours, so anyone could've interpreted that as a figure of speech. I'm not saying that she's not an idiot, though - we are talking, after all, about the woman who said on live TV that "you can actually see Russia from here in Alaska".

You know, what these 2 guys did could have landed them in trouble had they been American broadcasters. If they were American broadcasters, they would have had to inform Palin that they were on the air by FCC regulations, but because they were Canadian, they didn't fall under those guidelines. You'll note that at the end of the call, Palin had asked the DJ for his station's call letters. I'm sure she figured if those guys had pranked her on an American radio station, she could try to get their
