    Just a question/ notice of comparison. I’ve done chemical peels with estheticians and they first cleanse your skin, then prep/apply layers of acid, neutralize and then tell you not to wash your face for a few hours. I see that it has worked well for you doing the cleansing towards the end. If I purchased this at home version & did it the 1st way (cleansing first) do you think/know if it would cause issues?
    Also with the esthetician peeling was minimal , so I wanted to see if an at home version would be more beneficial.
    Does this brand come with specific instructions for the order? I know you mentioned for the time frame.
    Also did it burn adding the acid to your lips?

    • @JaneraRose
      @JaneraRose Рік тому +2

      Hi Honey - thanks for watching and for your inquiry. 🥰 I cleanse after my peel as specified by MUAC specifically, but every peel is different. Their peels are designed for effectiveness within a 5-20 minute window so it’s safe to cleanse thereafter. The actual peeling for this one is visibility minimal but works on the dermis layer of skin to break down hyperpigmentation. When I use their TCA peel (much stronger and more potent, for example, I do see layers of skin shed.
      Every peel comes with a prep solution to start, gloves and thorough instructions. All of which are extremely helpful. The acid tingles on my lips but no extreme burning, I’m sure to apply the peel to them last to avoid burns.
      Hope this helps! 🤞🏾

    • @JaneraRose
      @JaneraRose 2 роки тому

      Thanks for watching! 🤍 This is a micro peel so it works on the inner epidermis (top layer of skin). No excessive shedding or downtime but you may experience some dryness/rough patches where you can see visible peeling and it does lighten hyperpigmentation rather quickly! The cream you’re using may no longer be effective for the skin as your skin has become immune to it. Hope this helps! 🤞🏾

      @JaneraRose 2 роки тому +2

      Thanks so much for watching, Margesh! 🥰 Yes, glycolic wash and pads are helpful - the brand I showed in this video has an amazing 5 acid body wash that’s been super helpful with my hyperpigmentation! For actual peels I say to start with a low dosage to test the product and then gradually increase. The skincare brand The Ordinary also has really great glycolic products at affordable prices. Hope this helps! 🙏🏾

    This is a great instructional video. A couple quick questions- how many times can you repeat this? Daily/weekly/monthly?
    Also, I've never done a strong peel before. Did you have to work your skin up to 30% or did you just dive into the strongest? (I'm over my acne)

    • @JaneraRose
      @JaneraRose 4 роки тому +17

      Thank you so much for watching, Jasmine! I’m so glad you found it helpful. 1) You can perform it once a week, but I’d say bi-weekly or even monthly depending on your skin’s needs and concerns like sensitivity. I typically use it once a month, twice if I I’m treating an active breakout. 2) I did have to work my way up to 30% by starting at 10%, then 20%. I actually started my peel journey with mandelic, lactic acid and fade peels (by the same brand) as they are beginner-friendly, gentle and micro. Mandelic and fade peels are nice for brightening and treating mild hyperpigmentation. Lactic was effective for also treating acne. I’ve found that the stronger the peel, the quicker it processes on the skin; so with the glycolic shown, I experience tingling within minutes as opposed to a mandelic that I can leave on for longer without discomfort. I know this is a lot of information, but I really hope it helps! 🤞🏾 Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any additional questions. ❤️

    How often would you say it’s safe to repeat the chemical peel?

    • @JaneraRose
      @JaneraRose 3 роки тому +4

      Hi Kiara! 👋🏾 Thanks so much for watching -- I personally do them weekly or bi-weekly, it just depends on your skin's tolerance of the solution and end goal. I would recommend them monthly for beginners, of course always starting with a patch test to see the potential side effects of the product. Hope this helps! 🤎

    • @JaneraRose
      @JaneraRose 3 роки тому

      Hi Ma! 👋🏾 Thanks for watching -- it wont reduce pores completely as pores are a the result of genetics but it does significantly reduce the appearance and size of them. Hope this helps! 🤞🏾

      louli0061234 Thanks for watching! 👋🏾 Per the instructions of this specific peel, I do. But when I have them administered via my dermatologist, I don’t. It just depends on the peel, but at minimum, you always want to neutralize the chemical solution. Hope this helps! ❤️

    • @JaneraRose
      @JaneraRose Рік тому

      Thanks for watching, Charles! ❤️ Not necessarily, depends on the type of peel and strength of said peel. This is a fairly potent micro peel, meaning: it works beyond the epidermis (top layers of skin) to help generate new skills cells so physical peeling is minimal. However if I used a higher percentage, or harsher solution, I would see physical shedding in large amounts. Hope this helps! 🤞🏾

      Hi Maria! 👋🏾 Thanks do much for watching! Skin type, allergies and sensitivity is much more of a deciding factor than age, but I would surely recommend this more for someone in our age range than a teenager. For teens, I would recommend seeking a professional dermatologist. ❤️ Hope this helps!

    • @JaneraRose
      @JaneraRose 4 роки тому +5

      Hi Ruby! 👋🏾 Thanks for watching - the before picture in my thumbnail was where I started with inflamed acne and cluster hyperpigmentation, so the video is the result of doing the peel consistently over a year+ time. This video is just a demo of what has helped me to heal my skin issues and concerns. But even in the demo you can see the dullness of my skin in the beginning and the *almost* immediate brightening at the end. This is a micro peel so there isn’t harsh peeling in the days that follow...it’s perfect for people that need a quick skin refresher without the hassle of downtime. Hope this helps! ❤️
