Håvard Støre Andresen Thanks for the comment. Many moons ago in the UK. I used to make terreriums out of old glass batteries...great fun. Enjoy your horticulture...cheer Del
Beautiful bromeliad tree you made there! 👍👍Didn't know bromeliads could be attached to a branch just like that, always thought we needed to plant them in soil. But if only you showed how you attached the plants with the coconut husks to the branch. But you have a beautiful garden!👌🏻👏👏🌳🍀
Hi Molly, cut the coconut husk into wedges like an orange, pierce nails in the ends and hammer into the wood. Attach at the base of the offset/pup. Or you could attach them with bits of old leather belt, plastic etc. and remove after a year or so when the plant has attached anchoring roots to the wood. Another method is to bind the base of the plant to the tree branches with sisel or hemp string which will slowly rot away as the anchor roots form. Hope this helps. (ps. remember to keep the vase/cup full of water and flush out every week or two. Thanks for watching.....
Del Russel- Thank you for your prompt and very well explained method. I'll give it a try but first I'll need to find my supply of coconut husks but I do think your tree bromeliads was fantastic and one of a kind. I'm sure lots of people have been asking and talking about the plants that just seemed to grow out of nothing. Loved it! 👍👍😍😍
Hi Ayn, Thanks for the complement. Watering will depend on your environment. Here in Thailand, I water every other day with my finger over the end of a hosepipe. Ensure those broms that have cups have plenty of water in them. An evening watering is best. Enjoy your plants...
You didn't introduce your supervisor. He Got bored and left the video. Good info. Just beginning, and you make it reasonable. Other videos have sooo many special soils fertilizers etc., I was overwhelmed before Beginning.
Love them inlove
Wow, Del.... This was truly inspiring. I do all my "gardening" within the confines of my terrariums, but its basically the same. Thanks for sharing;-)
