I just recently found your page. You have been a great help to my 80-year-old mother who just had to have all of her intestines removed, everything. She had a port put in yesterday and does not know anything about it. I played her your video all about your port and she is so much more confident now that she will be able to learn how to take care of it herself. You are providing a great service to those who do not understand some of these medical things that are going on with them. I hope you start feeling better soon.

Idellle she's likely on TPN if she no longer has her intestines
She is on TPN and she cannot absorb foods at all. She eats and it sits in her stomach for a little while then goes out her stoma into a bag.
I've been TPN dependent going on 4 years now due to complete digestive tract paralysis caused by EDS and other stuff so I have a Hickman central line if you or her have any questions once so ever feel free to ask me on here or on my Instagram: ohtheplaceswewillroll

Good luck with your feeding tube and I hope it helps you feel better! I want you to know you've inspired me to train services dogs and I recently signed up with my local trainers, who train PTSD dogs for veterans, to start training dogs. I was inspired by Harlow being so amazing and saving your life! I was so surprised that a dog could be trained that way!

I'm unsure if you've ever seen Christina Doherty on UA-cam but she has EDS as well as POTS , MALS , Gastroparesis and MCAS and she has a permanent GJ tube which she has been loving. If it's something you'd be interested in watching she has her experience with it on her channel. I understand that everyone is different and what works for one can be bad for another but she has had a good experience for her. Hope everything that goes well! I know this isn't what anyone wanted to have to do but I'm happy that you have an option that may help you. Best of luck with everything. Love you guys!

Seriously Jaquie, you are SO smart!! I know you're confronted with medical terms almost every day due to your chronic illnesses, but even though you learn new things every day, you seem to pick up on them so quickly. the understanding you have for what's going on medically is amazing!
so glad you will finally be getting release with that feeding tube. i just hope that vomiting cycle will stop when you get your tube, because i can barely imagine how hard that dry heaving must be....

It's really hard if you are crying and your mom can't do anything it's breaks her down. It's sad. Me and my dad are sick so it's hard for her
I don't know how to judd does it . My friend has Gorlin's syndrome and I often find it hard to stay positive with what she goes through.
because she's sick all the time. he somehow puts up with it. I'm glad it isn't ruining his mood.

Your channel gives me a sense of comfort, I've had two NG tubes and two NJ tubes put in, all within two months, so knowing that you understand makes me feel so much more normal. The dry heaving and nausea are all things that I dealt with before and it was so severe at the time, so you go girl and know that me and many others are rooting for you!
I hope today is better than yesterday. It looks like you're in good hands. Continued prayers for you.

i'm so glad that you are on the right track to getting nutrition! I hope you are feeling a bit better today! I don't want to overstep, but one thing that I would highly recommend is talking with your doctors through all of the pros and cons of J vs GJ. of course you and your doctors know your body best but when i got my GJ placed it was very helpful that the doctor talked with us about the J vs GJ because I would really have regretted not being able to vent the G portion it is so helpful with gastroparesis. I hope you figure out the plan for what is going to work best for your body and start the road to feeling better!
I just recently started watching your videos and I must say, I'm astounded at how well you cope with your chronic illnesses. You're such warrior! I wish to become as mentally strong as you and your bf someday.

I was just diagnosed with gastroparesis a month ago, and I have never been so sick in my life. I learned to control it through my diet and taking Zefron when needed. I was looking for help and stumbled upon your wonderful vlog. You have helped me so much. I think you are so brave and so positive dealing with gastroparesis and other ailments the way you do.

Hope the IV nutrition has you feeling stronger soon. You already sounded so much stronger toward the end of this video. Seeing you earlier waiting for a room really broke my heart. Praying that you get stronger each day and that Friday comes quickly for you.

"Feel like a walking corpse" I actually felt that when you said it. that is a horrible, but very accurate feeling. I get that feeling probably 4-6 days per week, always before and after sleep. my family (daughter 12, son 5, partner) make me feel like It's my fault I feel this way. Full disclosure, though, I've stopped Dr appts. I just stay in the house and suffer, so I guess I get it. Jacqui, I'm pulling for you and am getting inspired to (one more time) see another set of dr's to try to ease my invisible disability (s). thank you!!!
Alexis Molina You need to go see your doctor you fool so he or she will know what to do for you and stop guilt tripping yourself it's not good for anyone.
Sounds like u need to ditch the partner if s/he isn't helpful and makes u feel like your faking it. PPL can only treat you like that if you allow it. Teach the kids about whats wrong with you and ask them how they would feel if they were sick and someone treated them like that. They'll get the point. Oh...and the 5 y/o learns it from watching his sister & your partner. Do u really want your son to grow up not believing in you? To treat the female in his life like your partner treats you? Oh honey...I'll pray for you. No one should have to put up with that.

Praying for you. I have a separate g and j tube and gastroparesis and EDS and I have a central line in my jugular vein for tpn. Just wanted to say I really appreciate your blogs thank you 🙏🏼

Fun fact: other then your asthma there's a really good chance they always take chest x rays because they want to check the placement of your port! Whenever I'm admitted I always get a chest x ray to check the placement of my line especially when it's not the hospital that placed it
I'm so glad they hooked you up with a TPN! I used to work in a hospital pharmacy and did TPN's all the time. They are SO HELPFUL!
Good luck with the start of your feeding tube journey! I know personally I would have been thrown off if I had been expecting an NJ tube but instead would have to get a J-Tube, so it you're like that to just keep thinking of the positives of it. Although you don't need reminding of that, you're so good at it already. 😊

So pleased that your starting to feel a bit better on the TPN. I was surprised the door to your room was kept open with your immuneo deficiency though, or does the whole ward have the same protocols? It's a shame Judd couldn't stay, but like you said he needs his rest too between shifts, I used to do 4 on 4 off rotating 12 hour shifts and it was exhausting doing 2 days immediately followed by 2 nights, I was always thankful for my rest days.

I've had stomach problems for 5 years since I was in grade 5 and they still don't know what it is. The pain and nausea is horrible and sometimes you can't move because of the pain. That's just me, I don't even want to know what pain ur going through! I'm so sry that you have so much on ur plate and that the pain is always there. So I would love to say I love you and beautiful Harlow/hippo and Jedd you guys are awesome ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I hope that the feeding tube will go well . Never actually heard of TPN, but that's interesting to know that they can do that .
They put me on tpn for 12 weeks at one point for crohns disease flare and then went to the feeding tube. It was amazing as far as how much energy it gave me. Best of luck and feel better.

I'm 18 weeks pregnant and just found out that i have paralysis of the esophagus and deterioration and you're really inspirational :) you are positive and i understand you're probably not always good but thank you for keeping my hopes up :)

I had both. Mine was an ng though. Surgery was quick. Had my dad there and he went to get breakfast and by time he got back I was already in recovery. He didn't even know I was gone

Jaquie I love these videos I have some of the same things as you do. Gastroperisis is the worst one to deal with. I have a lot of reflux and food coming back up especially when I lay down. There are many days where I have to miss school. I always watch your videos to make me feel better when I’m down. Have you heard of the Botox injections? I got it done at Cincinnati children’s last month and it seems to be helping with my symptoms. Keep the videos coming I love watching you and hippo!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🐶😘

I keep "borrowing" some blue bags every time I visit the ER. They come in handy if you get nausea all the time. I am allergic and react to all the contrast stuff. Hate it. Twice I was sick for weeks.

Praying like crazy for you, how long have you had gastro issues? When did they first figure it out and how? With your EDS how is your skin, is it very fragile, and if so how fragile? So does chicken broth usually stay down for you? Wow so cool how they figure with your blood your tpn, too bad they could not do that with your food, maybe one day they will get advanced and figure out more avenues. Thanks for sharing that. You're lucky zofran works for you. I got really sick with a stomach bug and I got zofran that made my nausea worse. Good for you!!
I know how you feel about dry heaving. I was really sick and kept dry heaving. I also had it when I was overheating recently.
i have ibs and it gets really really bad with gluten-- i get horrible stomach cramping and nausea, similar to how you are feeling in this video :( my GI doctor perscribed me .125 mg (i think) of hyocyamine, which is an anti spasm drug, and it really helps me. it takes awhile to work since it's a by-mouth thing (which i now realize you can't have-- but maybe through the feeding tube? idk how this stuff really works haha) but yeah once it starts wroking it honestly is like a miracle. i highly suggest asking your doctor about it if you haven't found a good solution. (also i know you uploaded this video awhile ago but im relatively new to your channel so yeah. stay strong!! its super hard sometimes but i believe in you

I'm on tpn due to gastroparesis and small bowel Dysmotility but it can take time to work and it can make u feel rubbish before it gets better depending what bags they give you (it's the lipid bags that are the worst) hope ur tube placement goes okay X
