Hi all, just a correction that I learnt after receiving the Charlotte Tilbury advent calendar. The top does detatch to allow for extra storage, but sadly no mirror!
Also I believe the cult beauty has different amounts of products and value of products depending on which calendar you get

Charlotte, I am such an Excel spreadsheet nerd!! I make spreadsheets for everything, so THANK YOU for your diligence!!!! I ordered the Harrod's 25-day advent, and I get it tomorrow!!!! So super excited!!! To me, this was the best deal with the best products - I LOVE luxury beauty items!!!!! I also bought the Space NK advent calendar - so I'll be set for the next several months with all of these great products, at an amazing price!!

I ordered 2 Space NK advents, one for me and one for my daughter! I loved it last year,
I think the 12 door ones are 12 Days of Christmas (25/12 -05/01 before Epiphany -or Three Kings Day as we called it when we were kids). I wish I had clocked the Harrods fragrance one. Drat. Love the Liberty one. Thanks for your spreadsheet work!

Love the video! I was all set this year to get one, I even signed up to Liberty's Beauty Drop last year with the idea of using the savings pot to buy it but erm, I accidentally spent my pot on other things I really really wanted (Hourglass ambient rose, Guerlain Basil Mandarin Forte, countless Lisa Eldridge goodies...) annnd I think that's how I have ended up thinking this year on advent calendars. Yes they're great value if you want all the products, but I also sort of think spending £200 or so on something I really super dooper want is mayyyybe more up my street. Plus come boxing day some brands have epic sales!!! :D

My winners without a doubt this year are the Harrods Beauty and Fragrance calendars. To be honest I’ve not been impressed with many of the others.
For the first year in a while I have left Space NK. Although the value is there, it didn’t wow me. It’s a shame as I thought this was one of the best last year along with Selfridges.
I think people just need to find the products they know they’ll use and keep within their budget of course.
I actually think the Holland and Barrett calendar is a great one this year for the price. 😊

The advent calendars that are typically available here in the states CANNOT hold a candle with the UK (at least what I’ve seen over the last few years). So this was wonderful to see, Charlotte. Thank you!

Hi Charlotte, thank you for yet another lovely video and topic. I wish all of these would be available here, which sadly they aren‘t. The 24 doors of some of them certainly leads back to the origin of advent calendars. They were first invented in germany and here we celebrate Christmas on Christmas day, the 24th, where we also typically exchange gifts in the evening.
It's also because Advent is factually over on the 25th. It has 24 days

Ohmygoodness Charlotte I have gone down an advent calendar rabbit hole thanks to you! I didn't know such wonders existed! lol. I am loving the Fortnum and Mason ones but they don't ship to the US! Liberty London is also gorgeous but it's so expensive making me think twice. I already bought the Sephora US one. Thanks so much for these recommendations!

I love the idea of perfume advent calendars - perfect way to test out a variety. That said, I wonder if these kinds of grown-up advent calendars are a bigger thing in the UK than the US? I've never really heard of advent calendar besides chocolates or others for children up to now. Sort of vaguely aware they were out there but not as a real big holiday tradition. It seems very fun!

I bought 2, cult beauty which arrived last week and is absolutely amazing I am recycling the packaging and making my daughter an advent calendar from it, with 25 doors. Also ordered spacenk which arrives tomorrow fingers crossed 🤞 for a golden ticket. Can't wait so excited although I only have one face not sure how I'm gonna test all these products x❤❤

Harrods’ perfume calendar was my first choice both years - and I missed it both times :) Maybe next year…
Bought the Cult Beauty calendar twice in the past: by choice in 2022 and as the second choice in 2023 because I missed my #1 choice SpaceNK. So, this year I ordered the SpaceNK calendar as soon as it became available.
I also wanted to get a calendar from Sephora US (it’s not as impressive as the UK one, which cannot be shipped to the US), but it sold out in 2 days. I’m watching for the restocking since for $99 it was a good value.
If anyone is thinking about the SpaceNK calendar and hoping to get it with some type of a discount or GWP: that was how I missed it last year. I was checking daily - and it was sold out before any additional offer was available. But if you’re on a verge and considering the Cult Beauty one, in the previous two years I was able to get it with a nice additional GWP (which isn’t guaranteed, so wait on your own risk).
Oh I will try and get the Harrods parfums calender next year. My in laws enjoy the small version of the Rituals calender every year, my father always gets a chocolate calender and my husband and I get the mid-size or luxury Rituals calender (depending on the products each year). I also like the Douglas lux cosmetics calender, but I think I will not get one this year. My dream is to someday get the Jo Malone advent calender. And 2-3 years ago Zara had a kind of similar style to the jo malone calender, which I loved. Thx for review 🧑🏻🎄 still strange in September...

Agree with all of these apart from Selfridges. It’s a bit of a let down compared to last year. last year I wanted that one and Harvey Nichols but couldn’t afford them but this year I don’t like either of them. i’ve ordered Sephora’s and hoping to get the John Lewis one as well. have you had a look at that one? also wanted to say that I only came across this video yesterday. Then I clicked on your channel and looked at some of your other videos about people faking their lifestyle and the one about aging. You have a beautiful energy and come across as the type of friend every girl/woman should have. Love and blessings xx

The US Sephora calendar is decent. The UK one is AMAZINGGGG wtheck.
I got the harrods beauty, cult beauty, look fantastic ( 85 because of sub to beauty box) l'occitaine (brilliant free gifts) glossy box advent fab for £70, thinking about the boots 12 day luxury...save all year for these, hated this years space nk and selfridges was worst value i saw. But i agree i too will be on the ball for harrods perfume one next year godwilling ❤ ps charlotte tilbury box beautiful but really bad value, what i dont like in advents covers quite a few xmas presents xx
I bought the Anthropologie advent calendar. The items we have here in the US is different from the U.K.
Last year I bought the Pafory (formerly YouniqueU) advent calendar. I’m not sure I’d do it again. I think for me, I’m generally better off spending the money on things I know I can use. That said, I always look and could be persuaded by the right calendar. x

Hi Charlotte. Im in the us and I tried to order a fragrance advent calendar last year from a UK company and when I got to very end it said shipping limitations made it ineligible for me to order! Also, the ones from the companies in the UK that look really interesting. Cost so much to ship here that it’s not worth it unfortunately. I don’t find many here in the US that I’m interested in. Oh well I can spend my money on something else I guess.
Harrods are doing it right I would also get space NK but I have most of the products. Probably says alot about me 🙄

I don't know how accurate this is. On the Harrods website it says that the fragrance advent calendar is available in store or beauty stockists. I guess if you were passing a store no harm in popping in... Maybe all gone still

Advent calendars in September when it’s still 80 degrees in New York 😅 I swear this stuff is gonna start coming out in July soon
I never get advent calendars, simply because they are too expensive and also, there is never a case where I like all the stuff. I prefer to just get gift sets when then go on sale in Jan but just for the ones where I like all the products, which is usually benefit mascaras which I get every year, I get their mascara gift sets. But for some reason, the advent calender thing never appealed to me because I usually end up not using or liking half the stuff in them, although out of these the Space NK one looks the best for sure as it has the most stuff I like, and also Cult Beauty. I always shop on these two sites for all my beauty. Not really sephora though

Sephora are such sneaky …sterds… They sell the same looking calendar with the exact same name in their Nordic store for the same price. Only the Nordic version only contains 26 items total… There is a huuuuge difference between a 40 piece calendar and a 26 piece one… 😝

Surely, given these are ADVENT calendars and ADVENT comprises the 4 weeks in the run-up to CHRISTMAS - which last time I looked is the 25th of DECEMBER! - Harrods should be re-releasing their advent calendars in time for ... CHRISTMAS .. so that we can buy them for CHRISTMAS .. or are we now to expect Easter Eggs at Hallowe'en or Hallowe'en treats in June???? This is so flipping annoying. 😠
