Wow Tim! Such a big Chinese buffet in NYC and only $37!!!! Everything on that buffet you tried was so good. I could tell when you tried it was good. My favorites were the lamb chop. The peapod vegetable, the 12:18 salmon, tuna, sashimi, sushi Pekin duck,crab legs, oysters on the half shell, crabs on the half shell fish with the jalapeño. Fried seabass, pig cheek, fried oysters, shrimp, abalone Frog leg, Peking Duck, lamb chop, grilled oysters. Lobster. Love the desserts!

It was a lot of food for sure but I got to take the lobster home and since most of it was seafood, it might have looked like a lot but it was a lot of shells.
Tim adored that apple and cucumber drink... NOT! 😂 He looked like he was drinking battery acid. But this only made this video even more fun. I go along for some vicarious dining because I can't travel and I can't eat a lot of food at one sitting. I still like to experience different places and dishes however, and I sometimes visit the websites of these buffets for a closer look. The food I would definitely recommend is the "Mofongo con camarones!", which in translation for mashed plantain shaped like a dome with shrimp 🍤!" Also the street foods and desserts of Puerto Rico, you won't regret!

I like the fact that you go to buffets to try different foods. A little bit of this and a little bit of that. You make it really great 👍 to go to buffets. Instead of sampler platter you can have sampler buffet. Great videos. All of them are BEST!
That was quite the selection of food. Forget the shrimp - more duck and lamb. Nice the abalone was good, watched you enough to know that is not always the case. I've never had it but do have some lovely shells. Blessings from Oregon.

Oh, I just took pictures here and there. It was a very enjoyable place and I would highly recommend it. I'm just going to update the video description to include the restaurant because it is one of my favorite. It's called cafe d'alsace
Abalone, eel, snow crab, lamb rack, crab etc... are extremely expensive ingredients. They also have very rare dishes. $37 USD even after conversion to CAD is bargain (with lobster even more)! If I lived near NYC I would RUN before the price increases.
My birthday is 11/17. I posted a comment on your Flushing video about the dim sum restaurant which I will try when I return. I’m in Philadelphia now celebrating my birthday a few days. And yes, I love seafood. Keep up the posting. Will travel to Toronto next year. I will try this restaurant as well.

I would highly recommend it and if you get a chance to visit, make sure to go early when the buffet starts because it's like a madhouse afterwards. Sundays would be good as well with lobster on the buffet

That spot used to be the drive through banking area for Greenpoint Bank back in the day. I thought about going to that buffet but I heard mixed reviews.
Flushing have changed so much since the seventies. Just this past January I passed through on the bus when I went to the Bronx. in the early 2000 a freight company used to have their Christmas party in flushing since the takeover from the seventies🤔🙏

He did not like that juice 😂. I’ve only been here for lunch before I think it was like $26 it’s not bad but I’m not a huge seafood enjoyer so the selection was small to me. You don’t get lamb chops Peking duck or abalone for lunch but the snow crab is still there.
Wow! $26 is such a steal with seafood as well. I must say those lamb chops were worth the extra cost for dinner. The Apple cucumber juice.. it tasted exactly like the ingredients... I'm not sure what I was thinking 😉
Hi Tim, the reason why the white fruit wasn't as sweet as you were hoping it was is because you had the cakes first which were sweeter than the fruit. You should always eat the least sweet item first before moving on to the sweeter ones.

hey Tim, everytihng looks so awesome as usual, there was a lot of food and its cheap as well so what a great deal.
It was a fantastic buffet and I still can't get over the price. For what you get, it's an impressive deal
Abalone, eel, snow crab, lamb rack, crab etc... are extremely expensive ingredients. They also have very rare dishes. $37 USD even after conversion to CAD is bargain (with lobster even more)! If I lived near NYC I would RUN before the price increases.

My birthday is 11/17. I posted a comment on your Flushing video about the dim sum restaurant which I will try when I return. I’m in Philadelphia now celebrating my birthday a few days. I would highly recommend it and if you get a chance to visit, make sure to go early when the buffet starts because it's like a madhouse afterwards. Sundays would be good as well with lobster on the buffet

That spot used to be the drive through banking area for Greenpoint Bank back in the day. I thought about going to that buffet but I heard mixed reviews.

Flushing have changed so much since the seventies. Just this past January I passed through on the bus when I went to the Bronx. in the early 2000 a freight company used to have their Christmas party in flushing since the takeover from the seventies🤔🙏

the airport terminal looks renovated now .. if uou are still there, try Martha's Country Bakery in Austin Road in Flushing/Forest Hills neighbourhood

Oh, good eye!… if you have a recommendation for a great sling bag, I’m always on the look out for one. The one I’m using is TomToc. Good quality and it can hold the MacBook Pro laptop, cameras and filming gear, and other travel essentials.

That’s such a great area to live in… So many great places to eat and I would highly recommend this buffet. I think it’s probably the best Chinese buffet in New York.

He did not like that juice 😂. I’ve only been here for lunch before I think it was like $26 it’s not bad but I’m not a huge seafood enjoyer so the selection was small to me. You don’t get lamb chops Peking duck or abalone for lunch but the snow crab is still there.
Wow! $26 is such a steal with seafood as well. I must say those lamb chops were worth the extra cost for dinner. The Apple cucumber juice.. it tasted exactly like the ingredients... I'm not sure what I was thinking 😉

Hi Tim, the reason why the white fruit wasn't as sweet as you were hoping it was is because you had the cakes first which were sweeter than the fruit. You should always eat the least sweet item first before moving on to the sweeter ones.

I believe gratuities are added afterwards. Their default was quite low if I recall (given today’s standards) - like 10% or 12%
