Great points all round, and even for those of us who are not American, we cannot always say, My Country, Right or Wrong, for Let God be True, but every Man a Liar. Let us trust only in the LORD JESUS CHRIST and the Book He gave us - the King James Bible for the English Speaking peoples.

The Prince of Peace said to get a weapon: Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one. Luke 22:36 KJV
Sell your cloak and buy a sword sounds like Jesus said. Also in the Old Testament, if you smite a thief and he dies no one could take you to court over it. I’m all about the Bible but to say it doesn’t support self defense is absurd.
I love my KJV bible...and the people who died fighting for the TRUTH against the Roman Catholic Church and the Jesuits. Amen
