I bought almost 2 dozen seasonal vault chests pretty much right away as the new season dropped, because I was really excited for it and then the servers closed due to the technical issues and my seasonal gift chest was wiped and I lost all the seasonal chest unlockers. It's almost been a week and DECA support is still yet to get back to me.
I would sue. They essentially stole what, $120 from you? Even if you get the money or the chests back, that's almost a week of time lost if not more depending on how long it takes. And when you borrow money from people, they expect interest in return. They borrowed money so they should have to pay the interest.
I once got lucky in a random skin roll i did with leftover gold I had, but accidentally deleted the item by nexusing right after using the skin. I Emailed support and deca actually gave me the skin back so there is hope.
Last year I grinded my ass off for some juggs through the halloween quests. I grinded so many dungeons and got 3 (!) Juggs. Lost my main character and decided to go on a break. One year later I login, only to realize all the hard work I put into it was gone. Decided to add another 3 months on top of my break... Would have been nice to know this beforehand, thank you deca games!
In the first seasons everything from your seasonal vault went in to your gift chest and they introduced the seasonal spoils as like a way for people to not use the gift chest as an infinite storage. They planned on making the seasonal spoils get wiped after the next season ends. I think i wrote that horribly so Ill show it visually. Every arrow is a season ending and what would happen to the items : seasonal vault -> seasonal spoils -> wiped But well Deca is Deca so instead of it working as intended it wipes the spoils after not being active for a season. Just remember to not put a lot of trust in to the seasonal spoils because Deca might disappoint you a lot one day.
The "gained dust" is just the difference between the seasonal and the normal characters' dust count. so the glitch here is the game telling you that you gained dust. when infact you just went to the main character's dust tally.
@@RotmgGHZD i know i should've joined the discord earlier to disclose what i learned :~: i came back last week also so its all a mess. the bestiary has been a godsend. Bless you ruppy!
To my knowledge dust never actually transfers over. What you are seeing at the top of your screen is how much more dust your nonseasonal has. if you seasonal has more dust it wont appear
Hm I believe I’ve been unlocking an extra vault and potion space after every season for my nssnl vault from those free ones in the BP. Really the only reason I still log in tbh since my vault has been tiny and excruciating decade
By season you mean the timer above the battle pass, right? That's when the characters and the chest items go to main. The timer below is just when the battle pass changes, but not the end of season. Nor will our characters become non-seasonal, right?
You say the seasonal vault chest doesn't disappear like the items in the seasonal spoils do, but then go on to say that it does disappear if you don't login in the next season. But that's exactly how the seasonal spoils works too? Am I not understanding something or did you word that wrong? I'm pretty sure both the seasonal vault chest and the seasonal spoils disappear in the same way based off of what you said. But you said they don't. If you could help clear that up that would be great because I am confused.
I'll try and be clear here (I hate how complex deca has made this damn process) 1. Your seasonal spoils will be infinite storage as long as you CONSTANTLY log in at least once every season. If you miss an entire season, your chest is wiped. 2. The way the game will transfer items into your seasonal spoils only occurs once you log in. The same logic applies if you unlocked some vault space on your seasonal character using a seasonal chest unlocker. The SPACE (not the item) only transfers when you log in for the first time during the next season. 3. Knowing the above info, if you miss a season entirely, the game never has the chance to transfer the items as well as any vault SPACE you unlocked. THIS is what I was saying. I'm not talking about the actual ITEM that unlocks the space. I'm talking about the ACTUAL space itself. 4. Knowing this then, if you log in after this season, any space you unlocked using a seasonal chest unlocker will transfer and after this process occurs it will be PERMANENTLY unlocked on your main account. you can now log out for a year and rest easy knowing the space you unlocked is still there. But ONLY if you log in at least once next season to initialize it 5. The seasonal spoils chest works in a similar way but once you log in the only thing that happens is that items move over. Nothing is permanent here. I hope that helps. I don't know how to be more clear hahahah
@@RotmgGHZD I just rewatched the video and realized I missed one key-word at 2:21. The word Entirety. That clears up everything for me. Don't bother reading the rest of my comment after this paragraph. I'm just going to keep it in for anyone else who may have gotten confused. The only reason I got confused was because I assumed the most you could lose was one season worth of spoils. I didn't think there was a universe where you could lose like a dozen seasons worth of spoils all at once. I thought losing an entire season worth of spoils was bad. I am still in shock. Oh I see. I assumed you could log out for multiple seasons granted you logged into the season after getting the vault space and you would be fine. That I understand and took for granted. Something else I took for granted (and what I think I didn't understand initially) was I thought your seasonal spoils chest was permanent. Like I thought if you missed a season, you would only lose the spoils you got from the previous season. But are you saying the entire chest gets wiped? Even if you had like 10 seasons in a row worth of progress in the seasonal spoils chest? If you miss a single season you would lose all 10 seasons worth of seasonal spoils progress? If that's the case that is awful game design. I hope I am wrong about that. You really can't take anything for granted in this game, damn!
Yeah, if you log in and you get the vault slots unlocked on your main. They are there forever, doesn't matter how long of a break you take. And yes all 10 seasons of stuff will be wiped. The only logic I can think of here is that the whole concept was that it was initially supposed to only include the last seasons worth of content. It was never intended to stack, but they just added it as a feature. It was merely supposed to be a conduit so that you could transfer all the cool stuff you got during that season into your main vault. Deca never really intended for people to use it as a storage system in the first place.
I’m sad I didn’t know this all beforehand, why is Rotmg so weird with spaghetti code and miscommunication. Well I guess besides the game being a cashgrab
Could you please clarify, with the seasonal chest unlockers. If I log in at the start of the next season, and then miss a cycle, will my normal vault be reduced?
If you unlock some vault space, and then log in next season it will move the space over. From there on out it is permanent 👍🏻👍🏻 you don't have to keep logging in.
Ha! I was confused by the exact opposite thing! I thought you would only lose one season worth of spoils if you missed a season but you lose the entire spoils chest. Imagine if what you were worried about was even a possibility. Imagine just having the last 8 slots in your vault just get wiped and losing your 8 most valuable items. You really have to assume the worst with literally every single thing in this game...
@@RotmgGHZD Understood, thanks so much! I read a story of somebody who spent hundreds and lost the vault space. Sounds like they just didn't log in that next season
It's because DECA has to ruin every good idea for the sake of money. Seasonals in general was a great idea that was executed in the worst way fathomable.
@@KiluaRotmg Literally. I actually thought it was a great idea at first. Little did I know you could lose a dozen seasons worth of spoils all at once if you miss a single season... Now we have to choose what 8 items out of the 24 we got each season to save (granted we got the seasonal vault chest un-locker from the mission) and the rest has the potential to be wiped forever unless you of course pay some money.
What sucks is that it's super useful for storage. You essentially get a free vault chest every season and some seasons you even get 2! Everything else about the seasonal is so dumb though I agree. I used to think the seasonal spoils chest was cool because your stuff gets saved... man was I so wrong.
