Wanna hear a kick in the nads to the American people for importing and manufacturing in general? I got quoted to bring over a container with two large machines. Shipped to Long Beach. The price was $8,500, didn't matter what was in it... I said, OK, how much if I get it shipped instead to Manzanillo, Mexico? $800 I'm just gonna leave that right there, no further comment.
If you're buying lots/sets of machinery in containers, I'm curious what's been happening to your order processing cycles during the container glut and capacity issues in US and world logistics largely. Has it been hard finding containers and have the steamship delays changed? (I figure you're avoiding the rail and trucking delays by going to the port, LOL.)
Yes, prices have gone up 5x this year, foreign ports, domestic ports are all congested and slow, but its effecting everyone and everything, so most people understand it
Glad your business is doing well Gary!
Nice! Shipping costs for containers have gone crazy high!

I am fortunate to live only 2 hours from a port, so yes, avoid the rail at all cost, it will add 4 weeks to the transit time overall
i don't know i don't think i would put my dog in one of them dog boxes .
