Yes. He was, from the information I've seen on him, supposed to be in New Londo Ruins as boss that would be on the rooftop where Ingvard presently is. I'm guessing they had trouble keeping ghosts out of the arena, or balancing him for the smaller arena.
When he ran up the path in Anor Londo and the silver knight snipes him out of nowhere... laughed out loud while putting my kids to sleep. Def screwed me over but worth it
It's funny you mentioned being the player looking for a bonfire on their first playthrough... I was able to fairly accurately guess a lot of bonfire locations in DS3 purely based on where I'd have put one to break up areas. They did a very good job with bonfire placements for the most part. Although the Dragonrider bonfire all of 50 feet from another was, uh... unexpected.
When he had 10 humanity going backwards thru Blighttown I kept yelling at my screen “kindle the fucking bonfire”. Uses humanity to heal but refuses to kindle smh

Hated going through that sewer part with bonewheels. Mainly because they appear only when you walk at certain places, yet sometimes it's delayed. If it were consistent sure, but sometimes i baited them to spawn. Additionally, all of them were placed so that even being cautious wasn't enough (look out for additional slimes on the ceiling). So yeah, that part made me rage quite two times, just to get back after calming down.
You actually don't need any software to use a DualShock 4 on PC as long as you play the games via Steam (you can add non-Steam games as well). The Steam Big Picture Mode works as a perfect Input Wrapper. I was even able to add a PS3 emulator to play Demon's Souls with a PS4 controller on my PC without any problems at all. Just add the emulator to Steam and you're golden, it detects the controller automatically and sets everything up.
You should _really_ give a short ban to people who make long strings of pointless numbers or repeating text like the schmuck who's text starts at 3:05:41 and goes to 3:06:34. Not a super long one but just a "hey, you may have given me money but that's stupid and annoying so stop." On a fun note the _least_ minor thing I've been to the hospital was a femur broken in two places.

I wouldn't say that he is the best DS player in history, since he's CONSTANTLY making rookie mistakes. This mod hasn't added any new attacks to normal mobs (From what I've seen so far) and yet he dies to some very simple stuff. He can be considered one of the best SPEEDRUNNERS of DS, but that doesn't make him one of the best. He's just spent years playing the game over and over to learn where all the mobs are, what their attack patterns are (Even though he clearly can't dodge them without speeding past) and where the best items are to get quickly. And this isn't me saying he's bad at the game, clearly he isn't. But, I really would not consider someone who dies just because some mobs were moved to a different place as "the best DS player in history"

Maybe Andre was originally the 'unnamed' blacksmith god that's the source of titanite demons. He's the only npc with moving lips so idk.
