I was always fascinated by this camera since I discovered it in a mail order catalog in the 70s. I never bought one though. I don't do any 35mm photography anymore (everything a 35mm camera can do a digital camera can do better and cheaper), I stick to medium and large format, so I have no use for that Ricohflex anymore (my present main camera is a Ricoh, by the way, the Ricohmatic 225). But I think I will buy one sometime after all earlier or later, just to hold it in my hands once, and maybe put a roll through it, and than sell it again.

My coworker gave me one of these about a month ago. I’m gonna give it a go and see if it still works.

Did a prism mirror swap on one of these a few months back. Definitely some intricate mechanics. Great camera.

I feel that vintage cameras are more 'innovative' than current digital ones, the only problem I have with old time SLR is the dark viewfinder.

Reminds me of the Auto-reflex Half frame camera

Was it only referred to as the "Ricohflex" in the Japanese market or is it a separate model altogether from the Ricoh TLS 401?

came across one at a flea market in hong kong but it wasn’t functioning, it really reminded me of old M42 Chinon cameras

I see that you don't respond to comments, but I'm giving this a try - do all the batteries you mentioned in lieu of the original need an adapter, i.e. PX 625, LR44, SR 44. I'll do online research anyway considering you not answering. Thanks.
