Not necessarily, assuming that Michael used a scalpel to lift her all the way in the air, he would have needed to pierce the scaffold into her spinal cord to prevent the knife from slicing her back from the intense weight from lifting her up Assuming that the scaffold went into her spinal cord it could have snapped the spinal cord potentially killing her. When Michael stabs Nurse Jill in the back with the scalpel and uses it to lift her off the floor, afterwards she drops to the floor and he continues to chase Laurie, so it's assumed she's dead. Getting stabbed by a surgical scalpel would have been no picnic, but immediate death is highly unlikely. Michael had to be holding onto the major portion of it to have the leverage to lift her up, so it wouldn't have penetrated more than 2 or three inches. She's a slender woman but it likely would not have reached any vital organs (and it definitely would not have reached her heart) it may have punctured her lung given the location, but even that's not an instant kill. Michael didn't bother with her after that because he was focused on Laurie, and the TV edit of the film dubs in groaning sounds hinting to her survival

The idea of Laurie Strode in a hospital unaware Myers is going round killing others before he finds her is much better viewing. This film is scarier than the original, it's quite gory, the ending is better and Halloween II for me is the best Halloween film ever made. However this movie doesn't start off in a hospital as it starts off with a few people in a neighborhood getting killed so a great start to a horror movie then the rest of the movie shifts into the hospital when Laurie Strode is admitted to hospital. Then the rest of the killings happen there, a very impressive sequel that for me is the best sequel to the original. Halloween II turns up the killcount, the gore, the violence and the terror to bring what is undoubtedly the best Halloween movie ever made.
I would have preferred more time spent out in the neighborhood with Loomis. Once it gets to the hospital it drags on forever, and Laurie is like catatonic
I used to belong to a Halloween message board in the mid-2000’s, and there was a user whose signature was a gif of nurse Jill’s shoes falling over and over. So funny.
I think he was cursed because he didn't behave like the normal human being (for example sitting without any moves for hours, showing any emotions) but under this curse he suffered. I think the best proof of that is Halloween 5 where he unmasked for Jamie and he cried. He tried to fight with this course but it was stronger than him
One of my favorite kills in the halloween franchise even tho seeing michael walking super slow makes it even more creepy and terrifying when he moves. I like Halloween II is the best just like the first one
I always thought it was odd that the hospital was so deserted. There were out 5 members of staff for the whole place (which was huge), and where are the rest of the patients?
It not really hospital per se. It more like large Clinic than hospital. Also the resson why so few employee in hospital because it during this time this is hospital/clinic nightshift so there only some nurses and doctor work at night. Remember THIS MOVIE TAKE PLACE AT SMALL TOWN. THERE 're NO MANY patient In SMALL TOWN especially during at the night time like this.
Imagine if Jill attempted to fight Michael off to give Laurie time to escape. Jill: Go, Laurie. Run! I’ll hold him off! (hits Michael in the head with her bag, causing him to drop his scalpel; she grabs it, and resumes her attack, then runs after Laurie).
lflagr That blonde nurse Michael just killed was the last staff member at the hospital. He killed the security guard, both doctors, both paramedics, and the other 2 nurses previously. There actually was another patient at the hospital tho, it was a boy that had a really bloody mouth. He and his mother were there for a while but left when he was stitched up. Also, it's not a hospital. It's a local medical clinic for a small town.
In the tv version,Michael cut the power & the generator kicked in. But yet,the scene before where Budd & Karen getting killed is where the lights are already dimmed.
The hospital got dark like that because Michael cut the power after killing the security guard while the staff subdued Laurie Strode and calmed her down with some medication.
lflagr don't look for logic. The place has like 3 floors. This isn't a medical clinic its a hospital. Also this girl was just attacked by a murderous serial killer. How is there not a swat team of police surrounding her?
Honestly i think why the hospital is empty is to look more scary and in most horror films its there is nobody there or its dark because to look scary in the film.
Movie clips that part of info is incorrect: Tony Moran only played Michael Myers in the unmasked scene in Halloween 1. Michael Myers in Halloween II is played by Dick Warlock.
Thats the actor's name, look it up. He did stunt work for the Green Beret, Escape from New York and Jaws. BTW Tony Moran wasn't the only actor who played Myers in Halloween 1, a guy named Nick Castle (who co-wrote Escape from New York) played the character throughout the entire film while some of the stunts he couldn't do were performed by Jim Windburn. Another fun fact: Tommy Lee Wallace (the editor/production designer/art director of the film) did the shot where Michael emerges from the dark closet and slash Jamie Lee Curtis on her arm and the bit where she's hiding in the closet and Michael punches through the doors. Debra Hill (who co-wrote and produced the film and also Halloween 2) did the establishing shot of Myers standing in front of the Wallace house across the street from the Doyle house. How cool is that?!
Hey Trey Myles! Thanks for the correction, as Halloween fans we can't believe we didn't catch such a mistake, but will go through and correctly give Dick Warlock the credit. Thanks for watching, hope you are enjoying the clips!

Michael with the Scalpel walking down the hall always looked funny to me
this was my favorite Halloween movie.
Scariest version of Michael. Hes so chilling in this one
He seemed possessed ,I genuinely think he was cursed ,I believe in the curse theory
me too
The Curse of Thorn films and story was a great addition
@@michaelmyers5605 Maybe a tolerance to pain and adrenaline fueled strength but I think the curse makes more sense
I think he was cursed because he didn't behave like the normal human being (for example sitting without any moves for hours, showing any emotions) but under this curse he suffered. I think the best proof of that is Halloween 5 where he unmasked for Jamie and he cried. He tried to fight with this course but it was stronger than him
Michael 😍
A hospital is usually a little busier...even on nightshift...lol
This film is fricking epic, the last twenty mins are just intense, even nowadays
Genius here. They lost track of why Halloween was good in the current ones.
Creep factor is why, Michael is so legitimately creepy and scary in those first two films, his mask actually looks like his skin
One of my favorite kills in the halloween franchise even tho seeing michael walking super slow makes it even more creepy and terrifying when he moves. I like Halloween II is the best just like the first one
This is one of the scariest chase scenes of all time
Michael how could you?! What did that nice pretty nurse ever do to you?! 😢😭
That little knife he has picking up the nurse 🤣
I always thought it was odd that the hospital was so deserted. There were out 5 members of staff for the whole place (which was huge), and where are the rest of the patients?
It not really hospital per se.
It more like large Clinic than hospital.
Also the resson why so few employee in hospital because it during this time this is hospital/clinic nightshift so there only some nurses and doctor work at night. Remember THIS MOVIE TAKE PLACE AT SMALL TOWN. THERE 're NO MANY patient In SMALL TOWN especially during at the night time like this.
@@ไม่สวยเลยหน้าเหมียนหมา that and it also makes the movie have a certain deserted athmosphere
1:17 is such a haunting shot
After seeing this I will never think of a hospital in the way ever again. LOL
1:49 Michael: Ah I see you've met Fred. He was just...hanging by a thread! Did I do good sis? Hey! Don't run away!
Jamie Lee Curtis was and still is a GORGEOUS woman. Not 2 mention a great actress as well.
NEVER have I seen such a FRIGHTENING/CREEPY Michael.....EVER!! This sequel was so well done.
I lol when the shoes fell off her feet 🤣 😂 😮
Why is the hospital completely empty? And why are all the lights off?
lflagr That blonde nurse Michael just killed was the last staff member at the hospital.
My favorite horror background music of all time!
Movie clips that part of info is incorrect: Tony Moran only played Michael Myers in the unmasked scene in Halloween 1. Michael Myers in Halloween II is played by Dick Warlock.
LOl D I C K .... W A R L O C K....... seriously?
Trey Myles i liked the names who played michael myers moran and dick
0:20 Michael sure knows how to pick up girls - what a mack daddy (or rather, ladykiller)!
I love how they just have a scary sound effect for like 2 seconds, then pure silence throughout the duration of her death.
Best scene of the whole franchise and should have ended here
It's still pretty easy to escape from him, the guy he doesn't run he walks and he walks slowly 😆😆😆
But still catches up lol
@@sgillman16 because all these people are idiot 😆😆😆
@@alanwisdom7777 Michael kills cops without they react to his attacks, appears and disappears from nowhere, dodge knifes and equal a dude that knows Kung-Fu in speed. Michael kills you like in a second LOL
I know I said it before, but I am just insanely in LOVE with that nurse!
Her face at 0:18/2:47 that fat cop hanging,LMFAO 🤣 🤣🤣 and the shoes kill me all the time
See now why didn't they do something more like this in the Halloween Resurrection opening with them in the Mental Ward?
All very rushed, Laurie escapes her room and goes straight to the roof to fall off, no build up, no tension, nothing....crap.
The shot of Michael at 0:52 and him walking down the stairs is sooooo menacing!!!
This was one of the best hands down I grew up in Illinois just few towns over the music is the best aswell
Michael is this movie gets shot like 5 times and still survives and the nurse takes a small knife to the back and dies instantly lol
them myers picked up her shoes and sniffed the hell out of them
The nurse had it coming.
By the way, weren't there any other patients at the hospital? Imagine if Michael were suddenly tackled by some elderly guy in a wheelchair.
It was knife to meet you
-Michael Mayers 😂😆
The nurse has the finest pair of stockings
Yes
