In the first video of the series #andbytheway our guide Mathias Stockbauer takes a picture from the summer of 1934 as an opportunity to talk about the "pilgrims" at Obersalzberg. Mathias, who studied history, now works as a project manager in Berchtesgadener Land. He is focused on the relevance of historical questions for the present and the significance of places of remembrance. His interest led Mathias to the Dokumentation Obersalzberg, where he has been guiding groups through the permanent exhibition since 2019.
