Drew, don't worry about a country that is protecting a colony. Just look at the combined strenght of local and colonial armies, and if yours is higher, you can attack it with absolutely no worries.

Drew, you can attack colonies without being attacked by, say, the UK. All the Overlord troops do is put up extra resistance. And rebels, when you fight against a nation, join your military. They don't form a new country like Quebec.

Btw drew trading in this game is overpowered and you will make the most money by buying goods for 80 and selling for 100. It gives you the best start and means you can invade bigger countries sooner so it's more fun and fast!

Just FYI, the real meaning of the Irish flag is the green for Gaelic tradition, the white for peace, and the orange for William of Orange; the Dutchman who associated the six counties(what us Irish people call Northern Ireland) with the colour orange

If you want to colonize a country but it is protected. You declare war and all it does is a little bit more protection. In 4:00 there was 1/4 protection by the British and 1/4 by the Jamaican so it was half a star army protection. If you colonize them you don't declare war on britian or something all it does is you fight that little army too ( My English is bad sorry, I'm Turkish)

Drew if you press the countries icon you can see their stats and the colonisers stats also attacking the country will not anger the coloniser

Plus if you attack someone's colony, It's doesn't mean that you're fighting with the country and the ruling country at the same time because in the colonies, their military is weaker than in the the home country.

Drew, when you get the chance to nuke do it immediately, it will take more countries if u take more countries without nuking, also if u nuke 5 star China and u don’t have enough army the damage will stay there forever. So nuke when you can.

A good thing to do. If you just took over small countries and have the nuke, nuke South Africa, it has multiple things for money and then you can take Lesotho and Swaziland.
I have some Trade tips to anyone who wants it:
1. Cotton, guns = Brazil
2. Silver, gold, ivory = America
3. Liquor,flowers = Oman
4. Wheat, honey = India
5. spieces, porcelain = China
6. Wine, oil = ottomans (turkey)
7. Bycicle, nuts = south Coria
8. Lumber, fish = new Zealand
9. Perfume, statue = Duechland
10. Ginger, rice = France
11. Horses = Italy
12. Exotic animals = Japan
That's what I know about the trade I did and time.
Military
Grind on trading to get more gold and fund the rebels and you're military (3 stars rebels for a 5star cauntry and 5star military on you're side)
Rebellion and control
Upgrade the local colonial army to 2 stars, it can help from rebels (except poland, Duechland and sometimes russia, what a nightmare.)
These are the things you need to buy before trading btw
1. Anything that's below 100
2. Slowly upgrade the cargo (idk what it's called)
3. Don't leave a country you're attacking, cuz it might instantly start a rebellion and also to easily increase the gold per second
4. Never under any circumstances, attack a country without enough gold to upgrade the local army ( rebels on some places are very quick )
