His dad, from India. Immigrant kids in America almost always tend to have to follow their parents culture. Or occasionally the immigrant kids are pushed to be über American, and not even learn familial languages other than English.
It has some elements of Krakowiak (the first figure at least) and some versions of Krakowiak have this knee-bendy aspect to it. And the second clip is definitely Krakowiak. Even the song is a standard song for Krakowiak. The third is pretty standard for Krakowiak too.

Polish dance? I don't know any like this. It looks like some weird mix of irish dance and russian kazachok. Maybe some regional thing.
