Typical problem = vertical gaps in the printed output, always in the same locations, irrespective of color. Note: The encoder strip is also sometimes referred to as the 'timing strip' and is found in all inkjet printers; the printer uses it to know where the head is horizontally, precisely.

I dont have any error codes but i just ran a test and it says encoder failed at 209mm.
