I have listened to mine for about two weeks and have experienced no problems. I have other Bose bluetooth speakers in my home. When a call comes in using my iPhone, I have not really taken the time to figure out how to take the call using the QC30s. I just pull the out of an ear and use the phone as normal. This process is so easy to do, then I really haven't tried to figure out how to take a call using the QC30s. For me, the sound is acceptable, but with the noise cancellation, they are super!
yeah BOSE probably banks on most people not having time to explore all the functions ..so a year later you find the glitch that came with those phones, and what do ya know why, they're out of warranty.. BOSE is an over priced, over rated piece of junk.. I WILL NEVER USE ANOTHER PRODUCT FROM THAT COMPANY EVEN IF THEY PAID ME TO TRY IT ...
HOPE YOU BOUGHT THEM AND ARE ENJOYING THE HELL OUT OF THEM...AND PLEASE LET BOSE KNOW..MAYBE THEY'LL IMPROVE THEIR GAME A BIT, YOU KNOW.FOR CUSTOMER SATISFACTION..
I switched to the QC35 after using QC30. The QC35 has the audio cable for in-flight entertainment, NC much better IMO and calls are much clear in a noisy environment. You will love the QC35 over the 30.
The issues that I've have are . 1st I can hear them fine. But on the other end they hear more back ground noise than my voice. 2nd The rubber is coming apart at the seams.
I replaced my QC30's twice simply because they started to fall apart after prolonged use. Bose has stepped it up recently with the Soundlink Revolve speaker and Soundwear speaker. The bluetooth connection is excellent in the newer products. When the QC30's get a makeover (possibly QC30 Version 2) I will purchase them again. As for now I have the AirPods with not ANC. Bummer
its unfortunate that I got mine while I was visiting New York. I didnt have any software problems with it but hardware. The body is coming apart and I can't return it because I'm stuck in Nigeria doing Charity work for a few years. The rubber used to make the body or the glue used to hold the parts together is actually really inferior. I have been so upset because I was one of those Unsolicited BOSE advocates. Telling everyone to buy BOSE and now I dont know if I can ever use my money to purchase a BOSE product again.
Same problem here in regards to calls. Cannot use phone on the two pairs I've tried. Received my third pair today so I'll know tomorrow. I believe it's a design flaw. The people I talk to using these tell me the ambient noise is drowning me out, however, I can hear them fine. The microphones appear to be in the earbuds and the noise being cancelled seems to be amplified. Something's definitely off with these. Hope my new ones work. $300 is a lot of money for headphones that are impossible to use.
I don't know about calls, I haven't actually taken a call on them yet, but I have noticed that when I have my iPhone and Pebble watch connected at the same time that I my music will sometimes stutter. Also the connection seems super sensitive to body interference. I can't put my phone in my pants pocket on my left side where I usually keep it, it has to be in my jacket pocket on my right side or I get a lot of cut outs as well.
yes the bluetooth doesn't have a very good range. I have my fingers crossed that the W1 chip will find its way into Bose products soon because I have the new Solo3's and the range and battery life are game changing. You can mow the yard with your phone in the house! It's really unbelievable especially compared to the QC30's range
I have exactly the same problem with my iPod touch in my right back pocket. While out walking for 45 mins I counted over a 100 cut outs. It can do it once or a dozen times on one track. It sounds like it's suffering from hiccups it's so bad. I also have problems receiving calls. I receive the call but the caller can't hear me.
this is the second set of headphones I've bought.. for the price I paid i shouldn't have to consult a UA-cam video for anything about trouble shooting a relatively new set of over priced headphones.. any feedback I get doesn't seem to address the problem with blue tooth issues, hense no solution..then to add insult to things they now have static instead of music, voice .. THIS WILL BE MY LAST PURCHASE OF ANY BOSE PRODUCT..
I had one that completely stopped on me, bose sent me a new one and now this new one doesn't turn off. I have had connection issues but if you forget all connected devices in the bose app it seems to work ok, even though a pain in the ass.
I got mine and when I charge them it has a green light no matter how long u charge them as soon as u unplug them it goes off u can't get no other light to come on or blink no sound please help I have tried to hold power button down 2 then 10 sec nothing please help
Your issue is legit : I have been with qc 30 for two years now : had replaced twice Pros : - noise cancelling - amazing for music / movies - long battery life Cons : - stupid design - worst microphone (don’t bother about making phone calls) But, for me i use it for the pros and live with the cons :( Sad but i love them still
The problem I have with the qc30 is, lost connection to my phone. I'll be listening to a podcast or music and it just go dead, turn the headsets off and I'll be playing on my phone. turn the headset back on and reconnect. And my phone is in my pocket.
help here. My brother just bought me the qc30 from NY. Now after just one week of use, the power button is not responding to turn blue and keeps on green (turned on). i think probably the sweat from my neck has gone into the charging usb slot. Now I dont know what to do here (i live outside US with no BOSE repair centre!)
Jason Powers I did just now....and some 'Indian' sounding operator suggested me to hand it over in NY and they may refund (I personally believe she had 0 technical knowledge on the product). Thats it for any wireless headsets for me. This is the third headset (after two previous Beats) wireless earphones going the way of sweaty ears. Bose should have made the thing waterproof at this cost at least.
I have the same problem with the qc 30. The green light stays on even after powering off. Bought it in Australia but living in UAE. Went to Bose store in Dubai but they were unable to help me as the product has not been launched here. They tried and update and now it is not pairing at all with my phone. Any suggestions anyone? drmartintk@gmail.com
Martin Kurian i would suggest to return this but and write on Bose website. in return dont buy this one but the larger muff one. im sorry but this is the only term solution i can give. qc30 is a faulty product as the circuitry resides on the neck area and they didnt figure out how much people will sweat. Salt has pretty high conductivity due to salts.
So many issues with the QC30's I bought. First, they won't connect though NFC, I tried with multiple phones/devices. Second, the Bose Connect App won't 'see' the headphones, so I am not able to do the updates. Third, I cannot connect to multiple devices in the same time. Fourth, certain commands don't behave like they should, for example, Bose said to reset the list of Bluetooth devices by holding the power button for 10 seconds...I hold mine (I tried with headphone on, connected, disconnected, headphones off, etc...) nothing happens, no message, no nothing...Sometimes one of the LED's turns red and blinking, and it's not because of the battery, but couldn't find anywhere what that means...So, long story short, buy Sony or something else...
I am on pair number 4 and less than 6 months time! after the firmware update noise cancelling almost ceases to exist. It works well when you're just listening to music, but the minute you take a phone call, the noise cancelling goes away. I am tired of dealing with bose on this issue. I've owned Bose products for years and this is by far the worst headset that cost the most money. My LG infinim HBS 1120 s were better quality than these. the only reason why I stopped using the LG was because the earbuds were retractable and they would continuously break. Other than that they were a phenomenal headset.
I have these but now they won't charge anymore, but people are saying they cannot be repaired which is very upsetting because I brought these in Feb on ebay, have you got any solutions please
Sadly, purchasing this item was a poor investment for me as well. I have the same disappointing voice quality experience. This was the first Bose product I've purchased since Series 2, QC 30 PALES BY COMPARISON. Sad, but true! Especially that there's nothing I can do about it.
I could've gotten the QC 35 except that it's particular design gives me a nasty headache and pain in my ears if used for long periods of time, even for 30 minutes at the gym for instance.
I have the same issue with Q30 too connected with two devices and one of them keeps disconnecting and I also drive truck and the microphone this is very poor people can't hear me too much wind noise and I wish they could have put the physical buttons on device not on thee wire, it will help a lot if it can vibrate when you can call
I have the same problem with the mic. It's been bugging me like crazy. I cant use them to answer calls because they cant understand me. So I have to stop what ever am doing to answer the calls through the phone mic instead.
Same issue! Cannot take a google meet call with these! If i could just turn off nc on these but sadly i can’t... you cannot turn off nc! Worst purchase
I just bought mine last sunday and upgraded it with the new firmware and it just so happen that today i am connected to both of my iphone and ipad and then i got a call and I cannot answer it through the botton.... so would that mean i got a bad one?
Wait for a software update in the future? Do you feel that if you use non-noise cancellation mode, the earphone is really sucks and even worse than Apple's EarPods? Btw, how long does your 30 charge? It takes more than 2.5hrs with iPhone's 5W adapter.
My 30's charge up within 2 hours. I've taken them off the charger before the green light appeared and the voice and my phone said they were fully charged? Try taking them off sooner. With the noise cancelling turned to the lowest level I don't think they sound is bad but I can hear everything. It's a strange transition from hearing nothing to everything. These definitely sound much better with noise canceling on high
Thanks for your decent information. I can take them off from charger after 2 hrs charge, and the app shows its 100% charged. But I don't understand why Bose do this: when 30 is 100% charged, the LED indicator does not turn to green, instead i need to charge 20-30 more minutes. Do you also have an issue that when 30 tells you battery is low, and it shuts down at about 20% battery?(And I was not able to turn it on anymore) Honestly, I'm a bit disappointed about this product since it costs 300 bucks and its mic is so weak. Maybe this is a design problem.
These take awhile to charge but they stayed charged all day for me and I just charge them at night. I also think they were designed to have the noise cancelling active and the fact it can be turned down is just connivence because you're right they don't sound that great with it off
I'm trying to figure out too. SHould have this kind of difficulty for a top $ product. BOSE blew it on this device. How do they release a product that is not fully tested? It connects to my dell laptop but no sound comes out. I even turned off my phone, and it still won't work. VERY DISSAPOINTED
Devil Beard666 call Bose and either get them replaced or ask for the QC35s which are great. They’ll work with you. I agree though. They dropped the ball.
I have twice now!! both times this has happened, going to move away from bose i think so many issues with these and other devices life is to short to be emailing and calling them! good vid btw!
I've just returned mine to the store today.. this model is total BS! I had to hold my phone in front of my face to avoid that metal ringing sound.. couldn't use it at the office, field or the car! Not even at home 👎🏻👎🏻
Just got these for Xmas. I can’t even get them to charge. This is also apparently a very common problem with these QC 30s. I’ll be returning them.
I have listened to mine for about two weeks and have experienced no problems. I have other Bose bluetooth speakers in my home. The headset is fantastic for phone calls. Just press the main button once to accept the call.
this is the third review i hear users complain about the product.
and now I'm incline to buy tge lg tone platinum.
thanks again
HOPE YOU BOUGHT THEM AND ARE ENJOYING THE HELL OUT OF THEM...AND PLEASE LET BOSE KNOW..MAYBE THEY'LL IMPROVE THEIR GAME A BIT, YOU KNOW.FOR CUSTOMER SATISFACTION..
dont buy

I’m running the iPad Pro and iPhone X and don’t have a problem answering the phone.
I saw a review, mentioned the downside of the mic sensitivity.
the whole product is a joke..boycott BOSE..

you can try hold on qc30 the button 1min ,you can connect it , i just done it .
Knock on wood I've had NO issues with mine so far. Just exchange yours because mine is running great! Call quality is good too.
i exchanged mine yesterday. They are coming with me to work today. I'm ready to try these again.
I enjoy the hell out of mine, so hopefully yours work too!
Call quality is worst.... picks up every background sound !
@@Dilserandom it’s getting worse as the years go by 😂
@@alcaponed16 😂😂😂true indeed! I had never used them for video calls until now😂

how can you pairing QC30 to my macbook please help
Press the power button and it will switch between devices its paired to.
I have issues with connecting it to MacBook Air and it gives pathetic sound microphone. People can't hear and understand me. Its always the same here.
One of the worst headphones when you receive calls
The only issue is that does not vibrate on incoming calls
Mine doesn't charge any more can someone please help me

Dont Buy. It’s full of issues
