This week we take our bus Custard to van life in Imlil where our Craig tackles one of his biggest challenges and fears - climbing mount Toubkal - the highest mountain in north Africa to be precise.. I sat it out. WAY too big for me.
Mission: DRIVE TO MOROCCO in our bus in COMPLETE! 🇲🇦 🥳
Woohoo where we've decided we don't want another cold winter in the UK. Our mates @eamonandbec mentioned they'd be heading back to Morocco to pick up their van trinity and we couldn't think of a lovelier place to spend Christmas 🎄

The whole trio took on the mountain ! (You, K/N and E/B) Even though you weren't together it was really cool to see all the different experiences. ALSO! Quite the achievement I must say, I felt exhausted and I was just watching this from the comfort of my own home haha!
Me too😄 I got tired just watching Craig this week and Nate and E/B the other week, when they uploaded. It’s really interesting seeing how all the different people coped with this big hike 👍🏻

Craig, everything you said around 7:08 resonated so well with me. Hiking is my therapy. Clears the mind! Was giggling a bit at the whiffing of Eamon and Nate, but then checking the loos and smelling Bec - I was just gone!!! 🤣🤣🤣 Those guys at the end were just the icing on the cake for the end of this video. I almost started crying when Craig was saying his climb was for Steve and then when he was getting anxious at the top of the mountain. But I did start crying when Aimee started crying. Love you guys, loved this video (loved the cats!!) hugs from Australia

I am an over emotional anxiety filled 30 something year old and I can't even explain how much I love how open you 2 are about your emotions and having fears and anxiety problems. Alot of youtubers just show the good and happy moments and it can feel a bit fake sometimes. You inspire me 💕

Well done Craig! I climbed Toubkal in December 2018 and found it so tough. I could also barely eat the morning of the summit due to anxiety. Was nearly in tears at one point but an emergency Mars bar near the top just about spurred me on. 😂 The views and the feeling of accomplishment makes the pain 100% worth it though.
Craig, I am in awe of you. You did that climb and you have a fear of heights?! I do too but mine kicks in on high bridges! And Amy, I kept wondering how you were coping in Custard on your own. It can't have been easy for you and, to me, that was a huge illustration of your love for Craig that you encouraged him to go. You are an amazing, inspirational couple xx

This is a beautiful video. I’m a Colorado girl and grew up climbing 4300+ meter mountains. The warm days and freezing nights is normal here, too. It was really neat to see this similarity with the mountain areas of Morocco, too! The mountains inspire and challenge us, don’t they. It’s so wonderful to see you both in Morocco. 💖💖💖
I just looked at the prominence of Mount Toukbal and WOW- the prominence is around 3800 m. The 4300 m peaks in Colorado often only have an 800-1000 meter prominence because they start off so high in altitude. WELL DONE. I was wondering why it took two days and sheesh that’s a huge increase in altitude. I’m so impressed!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Although i’ve seen the climb made by Nate and Eamon and Bec you make ik look real and achievable at the same time! Well done Craig, it showed it was hard, but you made it!! Sorry Amy you had to spend those days alone but bless you, your gratitude when you were walking to your ‘breakfast’, you have such a gentle heart 💖

Top tip. Always start the heater on full blast for 10mins and return it to full for 10 mins before switching it off. This helps keep the combination chamber and exhaust clean. Good luck guys

In the footsteps of your pals Nate, Eamon and Bec. Nate is the most physically fit because he constantly challenges himself in races and marathons. The drawback is later in life he'll probably have issues, need knee replacements, etc.

Thanks to Craig for challenging himself and Aimee for encouraging him. Craig really got across the very mortal feeling while noting how a shoelace getting caught on a crampon could have led to early end to the day. Perfect time to have a life insurance sponsor clip roll. Instead I imagined Craig listening to the Endel app as he hurtled off the side of the mountain in a very Zen state. 😐😅😐Seriously though it was a terrific episode! 👍
I love love loved the quiet little mountain town. In my bus cottage, I try to spend as much time as possible in quiet areas full of nature. That place felt like home 🥰

I just love watching you guys your love and kindness towards each other and everyone around you is so inspiring. Great job climbing that mountain I know how difficult it is, I climbed a mountain in Canada in my younger days but only 6 miles up but I thought I was going to die it was so hard. I will say I never wanted to do it again. Safe travels.

I like Morocco too. But not so much the big cities. Out in the countryside, that is where I like to be. It is such a varied country. I have seen everything from a sand dune desert to a wheat field with poppies, to a beautiful cedar forest.
I can not thank the two of you enough for speaking so honestly about anxiety. It’s given me ways to help my partner see what it is like for me to walk in the world ❤️
