- Replacing OEM Exhaust by Termignoni high mounted Race Line Exhaust (not legal for road use in USA and Canada / No ECE Homologation)/ ohne TüV ABE. Fiddling around and being satisfied with the result in the end.
"I plan to put on some Knobbie tires" Good stuff, man!
+blancolirio : Thanks! I ordered Continental TKC 80 this week (review will be in Customizing Part 6)
+Preuling Great tires on and off road! rear only lasts about 3500 miles...but worth it!
Oh my that exhaust sounds lovely!
great video!
Wonder if it's possible to mount a rear rack together with the termignoni?
I have the same exhaust on my desert sled and trying to figure out how to carry more stuff for slightly longer trips
Like the pipe and good to know its a pain to fit.......
Think I would have kept the original down pipes and used a link pipe with the new silencer as I'm not sure you've gained any more clearance with a complete new system?
By now there are more alternative exhausts on the market. Next step for me was the exhaust from QD.
Great vids, quick question. How reliable and good is this bike? I am planing to get one and I am not sure about Ducat.
Many thanks!!!
Keep posting!!!
Thanks again!!
looks badass
Very cool. Good job.
Love your videos sir
Thanks!
Looks great and sounds badass, specially without the db killer. Was wandering though, how about the weight? Is the Race Line set up heavier than stock? And with it higher up on the bike, do you feel any difference it the handling? I also imagine it gives you a little extra turning clearance on righthand turns? The stock and even the FT termis ground out fairly easily. Appreciate your thoughts
I didn't check the weight difference like I did with the QD Exhaust, but the Termi is definitely lighter than stock (btw it has no cat converter). IMHO the impact on the center of gravity is marginal. I didn't check the ground clearance but that may be an advantage. Another issue may be the performance increase. With the new mapping it went on in highest gear until it was stopped by the engine speed limiter (around 210 km/h)...
Thanks for your reply. Actually I watched your next video soon after, where you install the QD exhaust, and remove the Race Line. In that vid, you compare the weights, so thanks for that (the QD was about a Kg or 2 less than the Race Line, and a 3 or 4 less than stock as I recall - in case anybody reading this comment is interested) And the QD sounds and looks awesome! Like it much more than the Race Line - looks less bulky, and black is cool. How's its quality? Does it add performance in the same way this Race Line does? Did you finally use the remap provided by QD? And lastly. I assume you can't install the sidebags with either of these high-up located exhausts?
In fact, I kept the Termi mapping with the QD because I was quite satisfied with everything. The QD mapping may increase power but might turn the engine more nervous. The only thing that annoyed me with the QD was the heat ingress from the right side (see comments at the QD video). I took off the wrapping etc.
Hi Sir.. will rear passenger able to ride together after installing this high mount exhaust?
Ruzaini Azfar: yes sir. Some may apreciate the bottom heat, some not.
Also schön den DB-Killer drinlassen...
