I remember “back in my day” there was an ender chest + normal chest defense when you could get them. It was INSANELY good, like, literally it stayed up to the final bed break every game!
Simple, build an avarage glass and endstone defense, buy them traps, when someone comes near your base a message will appear, now just don't go too far away from your base and when someone activates the trap rush back there and whoop his ass
Personal take: End Stone forces your opponent to pack a pickaxe, glass nulls tnt, and wood forces axe usage or burn time. I played in the 4 team games though, so we DID usually have someone on bed at all times so there's that.

no... as a 900 star i can say you ALWAYS make a bed defense (unless in solos a lot of the time) in doubles (and in solos sometimes) it's endstone wool on fast iron maps and on slow it's the wood wool defense, in 4s it's the butterfly defense and you add wood to it later (i dont play 3s so idk about this one)
It should still be mentioned that, while your bed defense would be nothing without you, you are very vulnerable without a bed defense, and having one at all can be the difference between you hitting the invader off before or after they break your bed

Tbh my strat is just to have obsidian covered by wool. It’ll just allow me to have time to respawn with the trap slowing them down and then just kb them away.
