    Thanks for this video . This plant is new to me - One more plant to add to my garden 😁. Can I get this at Home Depot or Lowe’s? Where do you normally buy? Thank you!

      Hi Twyla! 👋 Thank YOU for watching. 😉 We hope it was helpful for you. We planted three this year in our garden; two from Home Depot and one from our local nursery, Watson's. There were different colors to choose from at both locations, so we hope you find the same where you live. 😃👍

    Have you ever flown these by seed.
    I saved some from a plant I had last year.
    I've tryed planting them seeds but having had them come up yet.

      Hi Wanda! 👋 You know, we haven't grown these by seed yet, and we stress "yet", because we always want to try to grow different plants by seed. That's sooo cool that you collected seed from last year to start new plants this year. 😉 It sounds like you might be having some trouble getting them to germinate. We are sorry to hear this, but we hope they come up soon for you. 👍

    Are they perennial at all? I don't have snow but live in a cool region in Australia and light frost

    • @SpokenGarden
      @SpokenGarden  3 роки тому +1

      Hey Teneal! 👋 It is considered a perennial in the US zones of 9a to 12b. Luckily here is website by the Australian National Botanic Gardens that explains some differences between Australian and US zone language and has zoning: www.anbg.gov.au/gardens/research/hort.research/zones.html
      Pericallis doesn't like frost, but you could possibly grow it in your climate zone if you can help protect it during the colder months with frost by growing it in a container and then moving it close to or inside a building/structure during the night time. Hope this helps and we hope you experiment and push your garden's and plant's limits to see what's truly possible. 😲😉🔥 You never know until you try, right! 😉💪

    You mentioned powdery mildew, how do you recommend to address it?

    • @SpokenGarden
      @SpokenGarden  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Georgina! 👋 Thank you for commenting and for watching! Great question. 👍 We would recommend that you try to only water the soil around the plant and not the leaves or stems so any powdery mildew spores don't get that moisture to start spreading and hurt your plants. Also, try to keep an eye on your plants needs for watering so they don't get overwatered, too. If you do see any powdery mildew, best thing to do is to prune it away. You might be able to find a spray or treatment, but it's best to just remove the infected area so it can't produce more spores and spread the mildew further. Hope that helps! 😁😎
