Bury what you found and see if bike finds it , conveyor rubber may not be helping , cutting board plastic be better option I think ,have run crushing circuit with built in metal detector s , belt runs flat over hard green plastic sheet ,this blocks detection off metal structure below , try triangular pattern on salt in mouth of feeder creek ,where you had finds , quad run at idle slow as it will go without stalling , slow and low doesn't work while hooking along ,my dad had similar system , with very small quad bike , use bend over poly pipes frame and shade cloth to make tractor style roofing ,at least you are working in the shade , happy hunting

Was any testing done on the quad bike? Bury some stuff and work out how deep it will go and speed you drive?
