Seller's Remorse can be a drag. Today I'm talking about a 2016 Triumph Bonneville t100 black that I sold a while back. I've regretted the decision ever since. This was a beautiful bike and a blast to ride. Plus, it was better than new with super low miles, lots of tasteful upgrades, and a price way below MSRP. I'll probably never come across a deal quite this good again on the same bike. Live and learn...

Out of all the bikes out there in this world, the T100 is an instant love ❤️ the moment you test ride it. Not even the overrefined T120 feels so good. Something special about how the T100 handles.
That engine is bulletproof! I like the old 865cc better than the newer liquid cooled Bonnies. I think the Black was born without rev counter.
The last Triumph I road was a
1972 Bonneville 650. What a ride she was.🏁
I never had sellers remorse shortly after selling a bike. Now I have it for several bikes (and cars) I sold decades ago.
Bro, I feel you. I sold my 2013 thruxton and regret it until now. Yes I bought and R nine T, but the feeling and the rawness of the thruxton and sound, you can't compare.
I love the bonneville. I wish I was a little shorter so the ergonomics were better.
They ride well enough, are a jack of all trades, make a GREAT noise, and are just drop dead gorgeous.
How tall are you?
I'm 181cm, which isnt that bad on the size scale, but I've also had pilondial cysts, so the shortness plus the sitting position is incredibly painful.
I have the same bike and I’m not planning on selling it lol ! 👍🏼👍🏼
I think the Triumph Bonneville line are the best looking bikes out there today. I've wanted one for a while now. I need to get on that task soon...
I've had seller's remorse twice! My '81 Camaro with a 6.6L small block and TH400 trans, and my matching numbers 5.7L TH350 '78 Camaro Type LT. Really wish I could have kept one of them.
Mine looks like this one but it's an 07 carb model running Fcr39s and she is a dream, trouble free for 5 years, also got a sweet deal for it, I can sell it today for more than what I paid for it!
I just bought an ‘06 Bonneville with 6k miles and one owner and got a really good deal. He had dined some mods and it is more like a Thruxton appearance and ergo-wise. So far I love the bike and don’t think I will ever sell it. It’s a second for my Goldwing.
Just sold
My Thruxton last November, hated the fact that I did it because of need for $, really love the bike!!! Once you owned a Triumph you’ll understand, be safe everyone.
I miss my 1977 and 1982 Yamaha IT175s more than any other bikes I have sold. The 82 was quite quick and they both smelled fantastic!
My 06 bonny black still going strong. Will never sell it.
Hi , nice bike! can you tell what type of bar you have on? is that a LSL flat track bar??
I own the 2011 T100 Special Edition which is identical but comes with the 7 spoke aluminum mags. The ride is brilliant... enough power to pass any car or truck, brakes are amazing, clutch and 5 speed transmission are wet (soaked in oil and piping hot) it is the air-cooled version, and it will sound as sweet as yours when I pull the silencers off. Here's my advice... use Mobil1 fully synthetic 4 stroke oil with a Lucas Oil additive and the engine will be good for probably 200,000 miles before it needs a rebuild. They only get better when you rack up the mileage.
Does it matter that there isnt any ABS?
@@chriscunha3246 not really for me... plenty of braking power. You will skid the rear wheel in case of an emergency but I love it. I get to ride every day this time of year.
Seller's remorse?
Everything i ever sold!
Montesa 247 Cota trials bike.
Triumph drag bike.
Both my FI big block Guzzi's.
Evo FXR.
Yamaha RD 350.
Tiger 90 pre war 500 rigid single Triumph.
Last of the Ironhead Sporties basket case but with a ton of tasteful parts.
Indian SV 500 Scout basket case.
I love my Triumph Bonneville T100 Black.
I regret selling several bikes. In order. 1974 CB550, 1978 Z 1000, 1982 FLH shovel and 1985 FXRT 😢
Jon, if you get the chance go test ride a Bonneville Bobber, you'll fall in love!
I'll definitely try one out if a good deal comes around. 🤙
Yes the t100 or t120 is a great bike, and probably be better for Jackie but still similar to the Thruxton with way better riding position, super comfortable. Helps with confidence. They look amazing and sound amazing. The thruxton is gorgeous bike but not comfy for normal riding at all imo. That t100 was a steal that you had! Very nice 👍
I love the sound it sounds like a 1967 TT Special I owned a long time ago. Nice video.😊😊😊😊😊😊
I have at T100 black cool bike mate if you regretted it get another your a cool guy you need a cool bike 👍
Sold a 2013 Thruxton, and a T100 Black with the chrome rims. I regretted selling both. I now have a 2018 T100 Black...all blacked out. Love it....but almost sold it because I am an idiot. Glad i didnt
I sold a Honda Magna 750 back in the day that I regret selling, I also sold a Yamah Midnight Special that I wish I would have held oh tol
One cuestión what kind of handlebar use? I thinks that is very confortable, no?
Yeah I never had buyers remorse, but sellers remorse, atleast when I initially was trying to sell it the first time. I bought a 2017 DRZ 400sm new and found it wasn't exactly what I wanted. I did like the bike, it just didn't have a 6th gear and no wind protection wasn't really great for the roads I did. I wanted to sell it because it didn't fit my needs, but when I listed it I had a really hard time letting it go. I eventually traded it in for a FZ07 which was a mistake I'll never make again. I lost $2k trading it in instead of selling it outright.
When it was time to let the FZ07 go, I went too far into street bike territory with that one, I held out for a buyer and what I wanted. That one was easier to let go.
I sold mine too. Miss the hell out of it
I regret selling my first motorbike, the Yamaha XT 500.
Almost bought a new Triumph Bonneville last year. Almost, until I looked into how much it was going to cost to make it exactly how I wanted it, coupled with a $900 valve adjustment plus the outrageous price to begin with, no thanks. Hate to admit it but after having Harley and Triumph all my life, my next bike will probably be Japanese. Don't overthink it, you'll make my head hurt... thanks for posting
You can do ur own maint with a manual. I know they use shims
lots of excellent jap bikes out there i would recommend honda cb1100
So glad my Chief dark horse has been great
I still have a Suzuki GS850G I bought new in 1980 - should’ve sold it, but what the hell. The only bike I can’t sell but should is my tweaked 2009 VFR 800. Do I need help?
My old cars ...66 GTO,66 Catalina,70Chevy Short Box...My Fat Bob,Lowrider S and now my 17 Road King Special is listed on CL Market Place and C Trader Minnesota.. it's a stage 2 build.tons of tasty add ons too. I am a Chef and have been 'Caronafied out of a job. Feeling skiddish about keeping up on the payments ..I will cry when my baby leaves ...its priced stupid low too. I hope it doesnt sell but I'm in a panic I guess. Off topic a bit...have you ever seen the Million Dollar Bogin episodes on UA-cam? If not watch the series on riding a Honda Monkey Bike across Australia..he does it to raise money for mens mental health and suicide prevention. Your video on depression kind of reminded me of him. It's good stuff .
Up in Gold Canyon there was a 2015 Bonneville Newchurch in red for sale awhile back if youre interested. I'm not sure if its still for sale but it was mint.
you had the perfect runaround bike man
Damn, you actually did get a smokin' deal on that. Between the BC seat, turn signals and tail tidy, that was probably around 600$ in aftermarket parts.
You dont get the cost of mods back. The more stock the more value.
Sold my 08 rocket 3 touring to get a 2013 t100. 7000 miles cost 5000. I had an 07 bonne black that i regretted selling and now i feel like im home again.
that is one sweet bike... major bummer!!! grab another! sellers remorse- always underselling and not knowing what I have. My volvo s60, a jeep cherokee, and a 883 sportster. im guessing cumulatively i could have gotten 5k more. I was young. I also gave my sister a nice 98 bmw z3 to sell so she could put a down payment on her car. this was like 12 years ago.. i was generous but also didnt realize how much more I would appreciate having it when I was older. I also gave a notebook full of original pokemon cards to some random kid at church one day back in 2000. I had all the real originals... when i woke up 2 years ago to an article about how much they would be worth, well.. thankfully I got over it. i'll say that much.
Really hoping to pick up a Bud Ekins limited edition t100. Beautiful bike
how can your don't whistle like the other? is just how you recorded the video or what?
I once had a cbr 1100xx blackbird and I loved that thing but my wife my son and I were in a car accident after the accident is scared me seeing how fast things could happen so I kind of quit riding for a while and sold it, 14 years later here I am riding again and wish I had held on to it
Hope you are all doing well 👍🏻
I have the same bike, 2014, with 60k miles on It. I don’t think I’ll ever sell It.
it would also be a better triumph for Jackie learn on
Looked straight off the header pipes, no muffler..
I let a Honda VTX 1800 get away I sure miss it , it was a fine ride but I went the way of HD
Nice bike. Let the clutch out before applying power again. Ease the power slightly just before the shift to unload the transmission for a smoother shift - should be able to clutchless shift one of those.
NICE BIKE I LIKED 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
What are your thoughts on the Kawasaki Ninja 400? I normally right a Road King Special but want to start entering the sport bike world.
DeMonte' Lackey pick one up for cheap, ride it for a year, and sell it for a small loss (buy used of course). It does have enough power to hit the highway if you intend to do highway riding. If you plan on learn how to race on a track then it is a perfect bike to do that.
I wish I could, cause I’d buy that right now!
Someone nows that aftermarket silencers? Its almost the same sound than just removing the last part of the silencers? How to get this amazing sound?
It actually is just a straight pipe. Lol. Previous owner simply cut the end of the exhaust off.
@@JonsMotoGarage Haha, oh wow. I have tried without the muffllers and I thought was too much, but now knowing this I will be less ashamed to ride like this. Let´s see how police see the sound here in Spain, haha. Thank you for replying!
$5,200 is a smokin' deal! 😲 T100 vs CB1100--which do you keep?
👨👩👧 ❤
Hmmmm...t100 for style points. cb1100 for performance and comfort. Can I keep em both? lol.
@@JonsMotoGarage Style and sound...performance and comfort.....🤔.........Yeah, keep them both! 😀
👨👩👧 ❤
CB1100 all day long
T100
The next title of my video is "why I regret thinking the triumph t100 was a bike work buy to replace my R1150GS".
Its like this bike was made for you bro
I sold my soul.
Saying you'll never sell means you're already thinking about it. lol
Is this bike also for beginners
My wife is fairly new to riding and just picked up a 2012 bonneville t100 (not the black). She has been enjoying it quite a bit so far. A bit top heavy perhaps for new riders but not too overwhelming.
T100 was my first bike, I still love her!
I love the tires ,,, can you link them ?
What does look like 800 motorcycle fromJudgment day Terminator
The one that I sold and wish I had back was an 1986 Kawasaki 750 turbo. I believe that they only made about 3000 of them. 😂😂🤬😤😡
I think everyone's had those regrets, live and learn. You might like to check out a review I posted on my channel, thanks
Very nice bike
That’s a good lookin Bonnie
Are you kidding!!!!!! At least here in New York State that bike with that low miles I can’t find one for less than 6 to 7 k. Brah !!! Lol 😂
That guy didn’t know what he was selling lol .... that bike just the way it is is easy 7000
Not surprised your kickin yourself! I would be to! Ha!👍
just road for the first time today can you make a tutorial for noobs
I thought you were gonna go work with tigers?
Lol. That vid was an april fool's joke (I revealed it towards the end).
@@JonsMotoGarage HAA! Gotcha! You ever rode a Honda Fury?
hey guys im in southern ca have a 2019 harley RK special for sale
Details
so weird that bikes like this get passed around like a cheap shirt. like buddy who you bought it from did a ton of mods on stupid low miles then sold it to you and then you rode it? then passed it down the river again. I hope for the sake of that sick beast that the next guy rides the shit out of it. I ride the same bike and they can dig it outta my grave if they want it.
Your like me but I don’t do youtube
Im thinking about selling my speed triple and getting a bonnie. Id love to have both but the wife will kill me haaaa
