    You say you analyzed hundreds of bass lines. I'd be very interested in watching a video on your analysis process. What do you look/listen for? How do you make sense of, synthesize, and organize that knowledge?

    Very cool. Just one comment: it seems to me that moving those first two E notes down to D is just moving them to the minor 7th of the scale of E minor. So it's not moving them out of key. What is unusual about it, however, is that very frequently, in pop and dance music composition, the one or two first prominent notes in a bassline or melody are on the root, because those positions are so important for the lister's ear to determine where the tonal center is. However, like the presenter says, this shift is fairly common in tech house.
