  • This is a quick video of a day in Alicante, Spain. We were on a 14 day Transatlantic cruise from San Juan, Puerto Rico to Rome, Italy on Royal Caribbean's Jewel of the Seas.

Nice video. If you go back to Alicante I'd recommend taking the elevator up to the castle. Much quicker, very cheap and gives you more time to explore.

We are going to be there in October on a Celebrity Cruise. You did a GREAT job on this. So, do you use a drone or what to record your video. ?

Maybe 5 minutes. It's the length of the dock, so it depends on where you are docked. Thank you for your comments and thank you for subscribing to our channel.

That is very unsafe. And actually very common in Spain. The concept of health and safety has only started to be addressed in Spain after all these years and has still not reached many places. 11:38 anyone could easily fall over the edge. You may also notice that at certain hotels, the balconies have very low walls/railings. It seems they are saving on time and building materials. Sometimes, the gaps between the railings is so much as the child could easily squeeze through and we are talking about on high floors. It is crazy and definitely unsafe. Often, if you mention this to the staff, they will say things like ´well, people just have to be careful´or ´if they don´t take care, that´s their problem´ and do not take responsibility for public safety even though it is a public space. These are things that need to change. I encourage everyone to report anything that is unsafe to the authorities to make it safer for everyone. There are indeed bad accidents and reporting these issues and pointing out why it is unsafe and the potential consequences is the only way that standars of health and safety can be improved.
