And this summer I'll probably be able to see them live for the first time (because they're going to a lot of festivals & concerts, and they're coming to Pride Barcelona!). Aquarius was such a good and underrated album. And Megalomania was also amazing. But of course Aquarium was an iconic album. And their videos have always been creative.

They were just so far ahead in understanding world pop culture, it is insane. Think of this song. Now so many Cartoon hero movies out every year making billions of dollars. Barbie Girl is the perfect antidote to dealing with the plastic age of the 1980's and 90's. And yet there songs were still so much silly pop fun. And I love their new older mature music. Sold millions of records, yet somehow still underrated.

Bubblegum pop has existed well into the 2020s. Katy Perry for the 2010s, and a LOT of new Pop artists in this decade

I was a little girl and didn't understand a single word but really loved her voice.
so I started to study English hoping to understand this song.

I actually learned about the song because it featured in the game Dance Dance Revolution Extreme, which was imported from Japan to the US. The song is about American superheroes but you could say it had "gone around the world" before it reached us.
