This Unplugged version I love hearing over and over again. Any number of times, no issue. Simply grand. Thanks Mr.Clapton. Thanks Dana for uploading it.

I love this version of "Layla"! My best friend John AMORing recommended it to me! I never get tired of listening to it!!! Great!!! 😘❤💕🎵🎵🎵 Miss u, honey!!!
Magnificent!! All the songs about Layla are so incredible !!) Super !! By the way Leyla means-dark night ) I pass by these walls, the walls of Layla And I kiss this wall and that wall It’s not Love of the walls that has enraptured my heart But of the One who dwells within them Nizami Ganjavi " Layla and Mejnun"
Aryadeep Dutta Layli and Majnun"(in fact she is Layli in Nizami"s work) is not Indian love story ,it is an ancient Arabian love story and first time that was Nizami who has brought this love story to the literature and then other medieval poets wrote their own Leyli and Majnun stories .. Nizami Ganjavi was born in Ganja ,in Azerbaijan who had Turkic origin ,but he wrote in Persian as at that times persian language was the language of literature .. On the basis of his works the Azerbaijani composers and art workers wrote many operas and other works ....It was the great Azerbaijani composer Uzeyir Hajibeyov who firstly wrote opera" Leyli and Majnun" in 1908 and by this event not only in Azerbaijan also in Muslim East was founded opera.....The other prominent Azerbaijani composer Qara Qarayev wrote ballet "Seven Beauties" based on Nizami Ganjavi famous poem, Seven Beauties ("Yeddi gözəl") .... But " Kalila and Dimna" an ancient Indian fable-story written in Sanskrit from the motives of which Nizami used in his work "The Treasury of Mysteries") ..... I am agree with you that it is a great love story One should read "Layli and Mejnun" or watch opera Leyli and Mejnun to understand it deeply ... Thank you for your patience for reading my long answer))
+Hannah Chappell Sorry for you loss but I guess you can't have a better funeral. I bet she lived her life as an angel and with this song, she left this world the same way Hope you're okay though
Love this song, but that's extreme. You'll get burned out at some point, and don't hit me with the "but no seriously I love this I'll never bored" bullshit, it's going to happen, and you will remember me.
Eric had the coolest voice. I always wanted to sing like that. Such a cool character, laid back, chilled out kinda guy. I’ve smoked one with Eric before aswell he is such a down to earth guy man
The acoustic version is like its own separate masterpiece. Gets stuck in my head for days at a time. Never gets old.
For sure! Two different songs. Sending positivity.
This version is way better than the original
Same here. I'll be singing and tapping to the rhythm indefinitely after listening today.

Clapton, the king of acoustic versions that slap more than the original.

Best version of one of the best ever pieces of music
Comment autant de personnes ne peuvent pas apprécier ce chef d'œuvre!?
I know right?!
Tout à fait d’accord!
One of a kind my favorite song of all the tunes he produced.
Listen to those words.
Man after my heart
God Bless u🤗😇🙏
.
I love how catchy, classy and at the same time completely floating and sexual it is; a classic for a reason.
how is it sexual?
I think they meant sexual as in feel (melody). Otherwise I'd swap out sexual for lustful on behalf of Layla
Exactly
@@pickle2636 Like the man is dying for Layla, sexually addicted.
BIG respect to this guy.... real musician with morals and integrity!
He was pining after his friend’s wife for years and then when she divorced him and married Clapton, he beat the shit out of her.
My favourite version
there is but one word to describe this version of this song...perfect
What'll you do when you get lonely?
And nobody's waiting by your side?
You've been running and hiding much too long.
You know it's just your foolish pride.
Layla,
You've got me on my knees, Layla.
I'm begging, darling please, Layla.
Darling won't you ease my worried mind.
I tried to give you consolation
When your old man had let you down.
Like a fool, I fell in love with you.
You've turned my whole world upside down.
Layla,
You've got me on my knees, Layla.
I'm begging, darling please, Layla.
Darling won't you ease my worried mind.
Let's make the best of the situation
Before I finally go insane.
Please don't say, we'll never find a way
And tell me all my love's in vain.
Layla,
You've got me on my knees, Layla.
I'm begging, darling please, Layla.
Darling won't you ease my worried mind.
Layla,
You've got me on my knees, Layla.
I'm begging, darling please, Layla.
Darling won't you ease my worried mind.
[Guitar solo]
Layla,
You've got me on my knees, Layla.
I'm begging, darling please, Layla.
Darling won't you ease my worried mind.

Magnificent!! All the songs about Layla are so incredible !!) Super !! By the way Leyla means-dark night )
I pass by these walls, the walls of Layla
And I kiss this wall and that wall
It’s not Love of the walls that has enraptured my heart
But of the One who dwells within them

The concept Layla stands the for the love he had for his love....its basically a Indian great love story...layla majnu...
***** absolutely correct it is this love story that inspired my daughters name
My cousin was named after this song she died last week and they played this song at her funeral
Sorry for your loss...
Thank you. She's in a much better place
+Hannah Chappell Sorry for you loss but I guess you can't have a better funeral. I bet she lived her life as an angel and with this song, she left this world the same way
Hope you're okay though
That's beautiful
+Hannah Chappell damn, she was young then. 45 at max, since this song came out in 1970. that's rough..
It makes my head swinging left and right slowly and take my breath really fine hearing this superb legendaries master of layla
been listening to it for 8 hours straight, almost 9 actually, still not bored. Masterpiece!
the guitar solos on this version and the original can nevet get old.
same
yesSss foR DaaYz!!
Love this song, but that's extreme. You'll get burned out at some point, and don't hit me with the "but no seriously I love this I'll never bored" bullshit, it's going to happen, and you will remember me.
