When it was released, the J-55 carried on the tradition of Gibson round-shoulder acoustic instruments. It was one of four Jumbo guitars offered by Gibson in the 1930's, becoming extremely sought after decades after its original release. The new Custom Shop 1939 J-55 features premium ebony on the fingerboard and bridge, a long-scale neck, and a Thermally Aged Adirondack red spruce top. Distinctive custom additions include a Mustache bridge, terraced fire stripe pickguard, and a wide 1.77" nut width.

Love it
Well done the guitar sounds absolutely beautiful
badass!
It seems that there are several versions of this Reissue guitar.
One with a large pickguard and an original head shape, reissued in 1994, looks very similar to the 1939 but sounds not as fat and low mids.
One that has a smaller pickguard and a small head, reissued in the 2020's.
And this one with the same large pickguard and a head that is now shown that sounds warm and jazz but I wonder which year it was produced to purchase one. If the price is not too crazy.
That’s All, That’s allll
Stunning tone and nice playing! What was the song? Nat King Cole tune?
Sounds great, but I don't like the moustache bridge or the pickguard, and the price, almost 5k?
Yeah the price is the only thing I don't like about any of these new Bozeman guitars.....
Sounds like you want a non-custom shop J-45 .
@@reverb508 Like I said, it is a great guitar, just not for me. Will have to try out a non custom. thanks
@@reverb508 And a long scale too.
Does anyone know the name of the song,
callumcoxon That’s All by Nat King Cole. My favorite version is Thee Midniters’ version
neck??? fat normal v?? thanks
Its a pretty fat neck but its not V shaped
Clubby but comfy.. definitely old school
Like a 50's j45 neck? I played one, very nice.$2,699
