4:45 - It's black. Animators had hints of green, blue and purple to black hair because black hair is extremely difficult to animate.
greens, blues, and purples are used for 'black,' because it's easier to see on screen, and also paper. Pure black creates what is called a "Black hole effect," in that it causes all other colors to be absorbed and doesn't look good from an artistic stand point. In art, we're taught to never use PURE BLACK, for that reason, and instead use reaaally dark, cool colors.

i mean, of course you wouldn't use pure black for, let's say, something pastel, but for a very vibrant or dark artstyle it REALLY works
Fun fact: toggleable exp share is objectively the best option because it appeases both sides
I feel like exp. share should be on, but scale the levels to take longer (like 75% of the original xp gain)

Games are about choices. Restricting player choice can only be justified by developer limitations (time, money, etc) or by demonstrating that the choice bogs down gameplay. I don't buy that anyone capable of playing Pokemon found toggling EXP Share to bog down their gameplay, and obviously it wasn't limited by development issues. It's emblematic of Game Freak's misguided race to make the games playable by literal two year olds, even if it means turning their backs on all other demographics

First of all, I only said that I started in Unova, never what my favorite gen is.
To quote multiple people, “You live your life wrong”. I’m sorry that Pokémon Black and Black 2 were the only Pokémon games I had when I was a child, it’s not like I chose it to be that way.
Gen 5 is great. I’m sure whichever Gen you like the most is great. All the generations have their advantages, and we like whatever ones we like because of what we like in a video game. There is no wrong answer to best generation. Only people who decide that their opinion is right without acknowledging that other people have opinions as well.
So please just keep it civil in the replies.

To answer who is ash’s dad, we have to eliminate each of the possible solutions one by one. Giovanni is silvers dad and therefore cannot be ash’s dad. We now have 3 options left. Mr mine can’t be ash’s dad since Pokémon can’t breed with humans and as far as we know mr mime could be female. Silver can’t be the father of ash because silver lives in Johto and ash’s mom lives in kanto. By process of elimination we can confirm that Brock is in fact ash’s father. What defines a "Pokemon Master"?
Being champion, completing the dex, catching the strongest legendaries, etc, etc.
@Jovi Jroc It's obviously having the power to befriend Legendary and Mythical and then befriending them all like Ash does. Whoever has that power is in theory able to catch them all and complete the Pokédex as well being able to use any Pokémon for battles in Pokémon Leagues. Only then you can become a true Pokémon Master.

The biggest change I can find is the underground cavern encounters. Oras added new megas, a new event that made it a separate timeline. US&M expanded on necrozma, added new forms and story, new z moves, and gave you a mega ring.

@Not So Famous Commenter not really though. its not really uncommon for game characters to be in the anime. i mean May, Dawn, and Serena are the female trainers/rivals, and Misty, Brock, Cilan, Iris, and Clement are ONLY gym leaders in-game. Yet in the anime all of them have been ash's travel companions throughout their respective series'.
and we know that the anime tweaks characters/plot holes to fit the show.
so although it is canon that Gary and Blue are the SAME person that exists in-game and in the anime, that doesnt necessarily mean that IN THE ANIME, Ash = Red.

A lot of fan games tend to be labors of love rather than products, so they’ve got that advantage. Of course, the more unique they make themselves, the more risk they have of not being as appealing to as wide an audience (I love Reborn but almost none of my friends do due to the harsh difficulty and mature, gritty story), but tend to be MUCH more loved with the crowd it does attract.
Reborn, Insurgence, and Uranium are some of my favorite games of all time. Pokemon optimized in different ways

Fun thing I think is, that a lot are on it with the "Steel should be weak to Electro" debate, but I personally think it makes sense that it's not weak to it, since steel is mostly diverting electricity but not really taking damage from it directly.
But also, I'm not well versed with physics and stuff, it's just what I've learned at school which I apply to this debate. I think we'll really never fully know which one is right and which isn't xD

Suicune, Entei and Raikou are called "The Legendary Beast" as each is related to a Tiger a Lion and a Kirin. Therefore making them impossible to be called a Dog nor a Cat.

They aren't just one thing, making it even more proper to refer to them as 'beasts'. Raikou is based on the Raiju, which is most frequently depicted as a wolf, however it obviously has some sabertooth tiger mixed into it as well. Entei is based on a Shishi/komainu, which is interchangeably referred to as a foo lion or a foo dog. It also resembles both a lion and a mastiff. Suicune is a kirin, as you said, but it also bears resemblance to a cheetah in body type and a canine in the face.
So they're dogs, but also cats, but also neither. You could get away with all three names, but 'beasts' is the most ambiguous.

Fun Fact: The Pokemon Company officialy listed Arceus' pronouncation as "ar-see-yus" but soon realized that it sounded a lot like "arse" so for the Pokemon movie with Arceus in it, they changed it to "ar-kee-yus". Pretty sure I found this on a Dobbs video

The main series games are aactually kind of bland and terrible, and the nonsensical design decisions of "Take out popular features so that they're unique to a generation that people soon won't be able to buy or play" is the single most anticonsumer bullshit Gamefreak pulls, and they have a LOT of hatred for consumers to begin with.
I just played through nexomon and it's better than any Pokemon game gen6 onwards

One interesting thing is that water doesn't actually conduct electricity well unless there are ionic solutes in the water. So should all pure water-types really be weak to electric, or only specific dual-types or those that reside in the ocean?
Water types are probably only weak against electric types because the conductivity of water is one of the most famous misconceptions.
It seems like it'd be hard to be a pure enough water type to not conduct electricity, though that would be a cool quality for a legendary that has special properties.
If we start questioning it on that level the type strength/weakness chart will start to fall apart.

That said, water that lacks the impurities that make it conductive is pretty rare in the natural world since such impurities exist most everywhere. Most Water type pokemon have tons of other stuff that makes up their bodies and renders their Water aspect conductive.
I have never heard anyone refer to them as ”The Legendary Cats”.
I think the question is in regard to the fact that despite being called the Legendary Dogs, the only one of the trio that looks the most like a canine is Suicune.

Growing up I referred to them as cats but I'm not exactly sure now due to Suicune not looking like a cat at all or a dog for that matter
I've never heard anyone call them that, but their designer claims that each drew from a different big cat. Tigers for raikou, lions for entei, and leopards for suicune. He did also say that this motif was not always there and that entei specifically was designed to still be ambiguous between dogs and cats though.
Entie looks like a dog from the front and its hgss pokedex entry mentions that he barks. These reasons probably influenced the "Legendary dogs" description. But then entie (from the back) looks like a lion and raikou is a saber tooth tiger. And the last one idk. I like the beast description as it's a nice in between
