Very Nice game indeed...all ingredients in there...bold attacks, unthinkable response, surprises and sacrifices....very worth reviewing.........and whats more.... Mato's voice is the seasoning in this excellent match..TYVM Mato for the videos
"...unless you are you subscribed to my channel... and keep clicking on the 'replay' button to keep watching this game." :-) Wow. This one's headed straight for my "favourites"! It's a keeper.
You don't see games like this everyday unless you subscribe to this channel. Am I the only one who thought that was funny? I love how you give the continuation lines from why someone resigned. If it wasn't for you explaining that, I probably would of never figured it out. Thanks! Keep posting these videos, Mato. I really enjoy watching, and learning from them. ☺
Thank you Mato for the detailed explanation of white's plan at the beginning. Could you be so kind and do this more often? When I play I sometimes get a lovely opening development (if my opponent allows it!), looks great, but I don't really understand where to go from there. I know each opening has a different plan; I recognize the openings, but I don't know the plans. It's a big hole in my understanding, and your more detailed explanations of the 'plan' help me a lot!
+Jay Canlas Thank you for the compliment. I wish I know what is so special with my voice. To me it sounds ordinary, but my hearing is not 100% good. I lost a bit of my hearing when I was in army-shooting with a rifle and not using ear plugs.
+MatoJelic I have trouble imagining such a peaceful person using a rifle. That's such a waste… But yeah, as you've probably been told a lot, your voice is pure ASMR material. But I guess it makes sense that you can't be soothed by your own voice.
thank you for this beatiful instructial video mato. this was really awesome. I'm sure that what if I was played this I wouldn't have a good taste like this.
Thank you for this beautiful game. A spiral checkmate! The first I've seen! The first I've seen where a king is funneled into a spiral to death. This game could have the alternative name: "Spiral of Death."
Enjoy Mato's enthusiasm for this stuff. Also enjoy the what-if's, the "critical" parts of the games and the "White made a move... & BLACK RESIGNED!"''s I NEVER donate to ppl from youtube but I made an exception. Nice work man!
0:47 why doesn't white play d5 and after the knight moves bxa7? I understand thant it might make some weaknesses in black squares but those can be easily solved with a push of the b pawn
+Omri Avital 8.d5 Ne5 9.Bxa7? Ra8 followed by 10...Nxc4. Probably better is 9.Ng3(opening the f1-a6 diagonal for the bishop defend c4), but then Black can just play 9...a6.
So after queen to f4 at move 22, what is preventing white from continuing the attack by pushing the H pawn and then something like queen to f7 and then g7? I'm assuming I'm missing something, but I am curious if that was a possibility that should have been considered in the game.
Yeah this game was so similar to muhammad ali vs George foreman "rumble in the jungle" fight. At that fight muhammad ali was on the ropes, and he was losing the fight but suddenly ali knocked out foreman with an amazing counter punches and won at round 8. Nobody was expecting that, but ali knew it from the begining because he did an amazing tactic against the bigger and stronger opponent witch is foreman. And at this chess game Eduard Guteld was on the ropes, like ali, he seem that he was losing, he was the passive player, BUT suddenly he came out like ali did in zaire 1974 and knocked out Vladimir Bagirov. Eduard Gufeld is a one great tactician, and this is very obvious.

Best quotes by mato...
Mato, your voice cracked when the beauty unveiled itself. I wouldn't be surprised if you shrewd a few tears before the end. I cried me a river...
I am awed by this chess battle posted and analyzed by the most humorous person on earth

mato's voice is much beautiful than these games :)
+Jay Canlas Thank you for the compliment. I wish I know what is so special with my voice. To me it sounds ordinary, but my hearing is not 100% good. I lost a bit of my hearing when I was in army-shooting with a rifle and not using ear plugs.
+MatoJelic yes, Mato, your voice is somewhat soothing and pleasing indeed)
+MatoJelic I personally like how you pause and emphasize certain moves (i.e unorthodox, killer moves) it's instantly thrilling that way.
+MatoJelic I have trouble imagining such a peaceful person using a rifle. That's such a waste…
But yeah, as you've probably been told a lot, your voice is pure ASMR material. But I guess it makes sense that you can't be soothed by your own voice.
+MatoJelic You should consider doing advertisements! Your voice in the background of any ad would make the ad bearable LOL xD
What an incredible game! And I love your beautiful soothing voice.. Keep up the good work Mato!
A real NAIL-BITER!
o_o mato your video is so great that there are 677 likes without a dislike!
Gufeld is an extraordinary defender here!
AND a brilliant attacker!
Favorite game you've shown yet!
thank you for this beatiful instructial video mato. this was really awesome. I'm sure that what if I was played this I wouldn't have a good taste like this.
The best move is: subscribe to MatoJelic.

White resigned in a heartbeat in view of this continuation: 27... excellent videos!
Check
Mate
+Carlos Diego Rodrigues It's the killa move!
Thank you for this beautiful game. A spiral checkmate! The first I've seen!
The first I've seen where a king is funneled into a spiral to death.
This game could have the alternative name: "Spiral of Death."
Extraordinary!
That was mindblowing
Great game thanks for posting!!
hello Mr mato first thanks for all amazing video and analysing it's really very good and professional ; i have a question do you play in chess.com ?
Mato dear really this is a game of it's own kind super class.
Well, actually you already uploaded this game to this channel, which happens to be the first recommendation from youtube on this particular video
Incredible !!! The strong opening white had evaporated....
thanks. brilliant game indeed and great comment !

Easily one of my favorite games.
I subscribed to your channle because of your voice XD
bdw, great game!!
I'm shocked, this must be the first time the far side player won in a video by Mato
Spoiler alert :/
+Selvin Mayes Sorry,i always read the comments after i watch the video
+Ionescu Marian keres beat tal from the far side in a Mato video
+1001themaster Yeah,that shocked me too
+Ionescu Marian Not the first time, but it is rare. He did give hints though with the whole Rumble in the Jungle..
I feel like I saw this game on your channel before. That ending is very familiar
You have to be really good to play 3 amazing move in a row..in a situation where a normal dude would already lose inside his mind
well in 8:17 it could be: Rb2, Kd3, Qb5, Ke3, Qe2, Kf4, Qf2 winning the white queen
great game and great mato !! 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Wonderful game
Thx Mato
One of the finest counter attack Iv ever seen in a chess game.
THANK YOU
Beautiful.
Loved the Muhammad Ali reference and analogy...very nice.
Very good game.
beautiful counter attack ty mr mato
You don't see a game like this everyday, unless you subscribe to Mato's channel :)
I am amazed. What a game!
Wow. .. amazing!!
What a game ! What a comment :)

I NEVER donate to ppl from youtube but I made an exception. Nice work man!
Mato, you are the best, but even you don't post a game like this one every day!
So sweet game!!! Awesome!
agree, we don't see a game like this everyday
At 4:18....bishop to h3 is good move?
AWESOME GAME, MATO!
Hahaha this game I seen a post about Gufeld today on chess.coms Facebook. Mato is the best!!
Great game. Thanks.
how is white able to castle queen side with the rook sitting on b2? wouldn't that be an illegal move?
It is illigal for a king to cross attacked spot or come under attack. Castle is ligal, king do not cross B1. C1, D1 are not attacked.
Amazing!!
Another grand slam game. Fantastic
Fair enaugh, but even if you do not take the a7 pawn you still earn some space adventage and some tempo for the knight
This game is 5 times more exciting because of Mato!
Thank you
Wasn't there check mate on e2 at 9:04? what do you think?
+PEDRO ANDRES Ramirez If Q to e2 , then K x Q.
+Orlando Romero That's right. Thanks man...
nice game noboy becomes chess in a drama like mato best narrator ever
Fantastic
that was funny!!!!!!and of course a beautiful game :)
The combined power of queen and knight is an awesome force.
Fantastic Game with fantastic voice... can u plz suggest a good chess book to improve my chess?
+Rahul Suresh Irving Chernev - Logical Chess. If you don't know or have it - get it. Worth every penny.
+Rahul Suresh The King Hunt
+MatoJelic Hahaha, well played.
+MatoJelic a killah plan 😂
Rahul Suresh well is called stockfish with 3500 elo rating u can start from there
fantastic
I enjoy guessing if you're going to be whispering or shouting at half volume almost as much as guessing the next moves.
: )
for me this is the second bess chess game i have ever seen:)
MatoJelic you are the beast
Wawwwww incredible !!

Nice one mato
good game but why didn't you make another video of it ? you uploaded this game more than 3 years ago :)
+OZSA87 This time it was from white's point of view and also I got some new ideas
I saw both of them, good watch!
Sensational!
Sad to see you go.
Unbelievable! I was thinking if he didn't castle he should win, Stockfish makes the judgement.
You mean to tell me that Gufeld isn't actually Keres? He employed his style.
+Edward Hyman I think he must be Tal. Or Fischer.
"Big poisons are kept in small bottles!" Delicious - This comment made my day!
i love you mato ... from turkey and i hop to play against you
At 8:20 isn't Rb2 checkmate?
Kxd3
He takes the pawn on c3 then
Can you give pdf game for eduard gufeld chess tactics
Thanks
mato lets get a audio version of your book.
